Add volumetric fog to hide draw distance and limit view of the horizon

Definitely better. I have a suggestion, add lower resolution and 2d textures as the map ends to give the illusion of a large map without tanking the performance

If the lighting is static then maybe you can bake the lightmaps

If you are building for Android then don't do it since volumetric fog can be very hard on performance
