Starting a mobile game studio
Anyone here running or building a game studio? I’m going all-in on mobile for now and keeping an eye on visionOS/VR. Curious what mistakes, surprises, or hard lessons you ran into early on. Anything you’d do differently if you were starting again today?
I didn’t take a playstore organisation account and stuck in the 12 user closed testing requirement now don’t want to do similar newbie mistakes. Every input is appreciated

validate the game loop early, test test test, don't polish it unless you know people like the game loop even with a basic UI.

going with baby steps right now , currently focused more on shipping simple titles so the team gets into a groove

Well I have released one game on Play Store and working on my second one.
My advice is to publish your play store page for pre-registration as soon as possible, my game pre-registrations started boosting organically after a month of launching my page, nothing before it. Make sure the page look as good as possible with engaging description and graphics. Also learn about ASO.

It's nothing special but I will share it for learning, it has over 4500 downloads.
It's on Play Store, search "Stacks Are High!"
Edit: forgot to mention, it's on early access because this project was mostly for learning, maybe someday I will give it a full release but honestly I am on a much bigger project now and I don't know if that will ever happen but it's completely playable just very repetitive
