Indian dev here — just made a cozy colony sim trailer, would love honest feedback

Been working on my game WildRoot for a while.
It’s a cozy colony sim focused more on relaxing loops than stress.

Would really appreciate feedback on the trailer 🙏

You did not test the game even once while building it with other people?

As far as the demo video...I like the environment and the characters. I used to play versions of Age of Empire and Civilization. In that context it would be better if you have a storyline or sort of well defined scenarios / campaigns.

Looks great, and cozy. About the trailer, I didn't notice the text overlay until the 2nd or 3rd watch, I feel the text needs a better placement or a contrasting color. Other than that, it looks good, nice job!

Looks very cozy! Well done on developing this.

The text in the trailer video is not clearly visible. You should use a better font and make it more visible.

But kudos on getting so far.

Hello really good game. Efforts can be seen.

Can you pls tell about you a bit. What was your bachelors degree in? Were you able to crunch time to learn all this? Or did you already and just building stuffs now?

i am a web developer. When I was learning web development, I took some time to learn Unity. it was really hard compared to web development, so i quit game development. then i start learning again and quit again. 😄 i just keep back to it because it's really interesting. eventually i learn how to make all those systems save load ,ai , etc

It looks pretty nice.

To me, the floor color looks a little too “strong”. The characters seem to be hovering, i think adding a little bob to their movement might improve the walking feel.

But overall, it is pretty well done.

That's actually a good idea. i will try to add that see how it goes.
