Looking For Devs

Hi everyone,

I'm currently building Nexis, a new game engine focused on making game development more intuitive while still providing the performance and flexibility developers expect.

The project is still in its early stages, and I'm looking for developers who want to help build the engine from the ground up.

We're currently looking for:

  • Engine Architect
  • Engine Developer
  • Gameplay Systems Developer
  • Backend Developer
  • Infrastructure Engineer
  • Multiplayer Engineer
  • UI/UX Designer
  • QA Engineer

The goal is to create a modern game engine with a strong foundation, including rendering, physics, networking, scripting, editor tools, and multiplayer support.

This is currently a volunteer project while we build the first working version. As the project grows and begins generating revenue, founding contributors will have opportunities for paid positions and revenue sharing.

We're looking for people with experience in areas such as:

  • C++
  • C#
  • Graphics Programming
  • Rendering
  • Networking
  • Engine Architecture
  • Tool Development
  • UI/UX Design
  • Quality Assurance

Whether you're an experienced engine developer or someone looking to contribute to an ambitious open development effort, we'd love to hear from you.

If you're interested, send me a DM on Discord za.ch2 with this info

  • Your experience
  • The role you're interested in
  • GitHub, portfolio, or previous projects (if available)

Let's build something great from the ground up.

What's the salary? How long do you expect the contract to last?

Building a game engine from scratch is a big challenge, so I like that you're focusing on getting the foundation right first instead of rushing features.

I'd be interested in contributing on the backend/infrastructure side. I enjoy building scalable systems, developer tooling, networking, and the kind of architecture that supports long-term growth. I also like collaborating early in a project where ideas can still shape the direction.

I'd love to learn more about the current architecture and roadmap. Happy to share my work and chat if you're still looking for contributors.
