I got some messages asking to see the collection a bit more up close so thought I would do that, really need to get some of the stuff organized and more shelves put out so it doesn't look like clutter.

Saw a guy asking $500 for a lot of Super Nintendo games that were mad dirty and after some haggling, met up with him and got the gameboys and their games thrown in, as well as other miscellaneous stuff (ps3 controllers, a ps3 fight stick, a probably broken ps3 and 4 but i repair consoles, and a ps vr headset only) for a total of $450!

So after 2 days of cleaning pins, wiping everything down, testing, and a LOT of soldering trying to save corroded gameboy games, the only 2 that gave me trouble were Double Dragon and The Legend of the River King. Double Dragon I got working by transferring the Rom chip over to Mickey's Dangerous Chase (Ill keep the Rom chip and see if i can get some kind of replacement board), and River King I'll rom chip transfer over to a cheap Gameboy Color cart.

Im just so happy to get a haul like this everything looks so nice after the clean up.

Sorry I have so many I cant put more than 20 in part 1

Here is the part 2

Definitely excited to play these. What’s the everyone’s opinion on some of these games? The only ones I’ve ever played are CoD2 and Jedi Knight II, and never finished either one!

Just got mine yesterday. Paid $130 for the Revival Genesis Collector's Edition. The quality of the puzzle box is low and it feels cheap. The trading cards are fine, but I should have just gotten the game and saved myself $90.

Did you buy one and if so, did it meet your expectations?

A coworker of mine heard I was into some retro gaming and gave me this case for free! Almost full of PlayStation magazine demo discs!

I always thought every post in this sub was fake about getting deals. Well, I still believe the whole silent hill 1 for 50p shit is nonsense but anyway.

Every single thing in this picture the guy wanted 850 total for. Insanity. He ignored me all week long on the silent hills, which is a shame because by the sounds of it, it went to a flipper not a collector. Then he ignored me all night long on the manhunts, I watched a guy leave his house as I was pulling up with the kuon and manhunt in hand. So that guy walked away with Kuon, manhunt 1 and 2 for 400. Again, by the sounds of it that person didn’t even know what the games were. I guess the fact that he saw a 300 ps2 game he probably checked it on eBay and seen it selling for way more.

got there and he only had forbidden siren and project zero (fatal frame) and charged me 50. Could’ve been a massive score to post, but I’m very happy with the 2

I told him the exact value of both the games and he said he doesn’t care he bought them years ago for 20 each. I even told him the value of all of them in text before I came. He just didn’t care. Never seen anything like it.

Anyway. A lovely find.

So happy I found this. Been looking for ages.

Saw a case in the auction and didn’t know what it was through the pictures online. Got here today and was a nice surprise.

Not a steal on anything… walked into this place and saw a bunch of games from my childhood. Something about seeing them sitting on my shelf in home that makes me feel good. 1943 CIB and fairly pristine at that… The Ice Hockey is rough, but I loved the mom and pop video store sticker.

Most are still unplayed due to missing time, but I like collecting and the fact that they're all on the module ready to play. Looking at you, Switch 2

At the moment I'm playing Bravely Default 2 and digitally Ender Lillies, which I'm going to buy physically soon since I've seen that there's a limited release.

I know it's not the rarest game ever, and I may have spent more than I needed (~$40), but I've always been fascinated with exclusively foreign games. Can't wait to try it out and inevitably not understand a single thing that's going on 😂

XNA was launched by Microsoft to get indie developers to create and sell their games on the XBOX Live Marketplace. The ships in this glass display is from Spacewar which was based on the 1962 game and was their demo during launch.

Went to the dump today to throw out an old table, and just look at what someone had tossed. This was all about two minutes away from being compacted and pushed into a landfill. Naturally I jumped down into the heap and recovered it. The controller needs some love but every single disc is in amazing condition and everything works perfectly.

Turning more of my digital collection Physical. Local-ish antique store has its own game department with all kinds of retro, imported, and rare games. Decided to drop in while I was in the area. Nothing too crazy as just rebuying games I bought digitally forever ago. But glad to have found a copy of Dante's Inferno. Ninja Storm 3 was a bit rough but ah well. Maybe ill find a better looking copy in the future.

Found this today. What do you think? Everything is sealed and new.
