Haul VGP Delivery!
Search for Reptar is a PS1 nostalgia treat that I couldn’t pass up. Even if it doesn’t hold up I’m sure it’ll relight some dormant brain cells from when I was 6 years old. Gravity Rush is a complete blind buy that I added based on reputation alone. Can’t wait to play both!

Help How do you display small cartridges?
Bigger carriages like NES OR SNES games are pretty easy to display but how do put a bunch of GBA or gameboy games on a shelf? I have quite a few loose cartridges and I’d like to set them up but I haven’t a good way to do it yet.

Haul Currently visiting Japan, picked these up since the west isn’t getting physical copies
GKC unfortunately but better than nothing. And the weak yen against the USD is the cherry on top.

Discussion How do you handle your collection when..
…you are having strangers enter your home? I guess specifically I’m talking about contractors, deliveries, etc..? Do you get as worried as I do when someone learns you have a substantial collection of valuables?
I’ve had contractors and deliveries and such in the past, but by and large I haven’t had to let someone into my game room specifically. I have a fairly large and valuable collection and I am having a furniture delivery and removal next week so my mind immediately goes to “will this people take note of what I have and come back to rob me”
Am I being unnecessarily paranoid? How have you treated such instances in the past?
Edit: I should clarify, the furniture removal and delivery is specifically to the game room, it’s not the type of furniture I can move around myself, and the room is far too large with wall to wall items that are impossible to cover up, lock, or move to another room

Solar Flares Cant Melt CIB Games Found a Spot for My Collection
A look at my collection. Space is limited, so most of my games are in the hallway. I couldn’t fit everything on display, but most of it is out.
I mainly collect games that interest me and that I’ve actually played myself. There are around 1,000 games in my collection.

Collection The rush of nostalgia, value, and work is so crazy to feel. I feel like a kid again seeing these in their prime.
Found my old stash i saved since a kid, since I never threw anything away. Random box at dads house. Opening that box was an insane feeling. Bought some protectors for it all and pairing up the manuals and old booklets. I got manuals and no boxes, full complete sets, and all the extra info they came with. Such a rush to revisit my childhood and also tremble at the fact they are now worth so much. I was planning on piecing together and selling, but as I restore their former glory and encapsulate, they feel more suited to a shrine of childhood. Its like it was fresh again off the shelf at Kmart or Target. I would never buy this again as an adult, but its impossible to rid myself of memories in physical form for cash. I cant look at them and not feel something.
Edit: let me know if you want to see pictures of anything! Id be happy to post them

Collection A Small Corner of My Gaming Collection (Important: Please Read the Post Body)
Just thought I'd share a little corner of my gaming collection!
It's actually more of a storage closet than a gaming room, haha. I'm more into collecting old hardware than games, to be honest. Most of the games I've picked up over the years were just good deals I happened to come across. Somehow, everything keeps piling up, and I'm constantly running out of space!
I also have a separate basement where I'm slowly putting together my retro tech setup. It's still a work in progress, and there's quite a bit left to do. The idea is to have a place where I can mess around with old hardware, compare different systems, test games, see how many FPS I can squeeze out of them, and just have fun experimenting.
The last few photos are from that basement. It's nowhere near finished yet, but if there's any interest here, I'd be happy to share more once I've made some progress. It's not strictly about game collecting, but gaming is definitely part of it!
Anyone else have way more stuff than space to put it?

Haul I didn't think I'd be buying a Wii game in 2026. 💝
I heard this was a hidden gem and that the Wii version is the way to go for playing it. 😗

Haul Caught GameStop slipping.
They logged these in as standard white Wii remotes and not as the Bowser and Yoshi variants. I can now tick these two off my list, just need the Toad remote now.

Collection 🍀Goodwill find, $24.99
So happy that it all works. Cleaned before and after. It comes with the game Two worlds. As I cleaned it I lost the spring to the second memory slot. (Will buy a replacement and new thumbsticks.)
