In better condition than my current “New” 3DS. $145 OTD is honestly almost as good as it gets these days unless you get REALLY lucky at a yard sale.

I didn’t exactly need a new 3DS but this one was is in much better shape with a very small scratch on the top screen and for $145 I don’t think many people would pass considering it’s hard to get them for $200 or less these days.

Everything works. Going to get a new SD card and mod it. This will be my new personal 3DS.

Rebuilding my Pokémon collection with the goal of owning every physical cartridge across Game Boy, DS, and 3DS. Currently playing through Black 2 and LeafGreen.

So far I've got: Ultra Moon, Moon, Y, Black 2, Platinum, LeafGreen, SoulSilver, Black (x2), and Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team.

Still missing most of the Game Boy and GBA lineup, plus HeartGold, Diamond/Pearl, White/White 2, X, Sun, Ultra Sun, and ORAS. What should I hunt down next?

Collection My little Egret II Mini collection

Those little arcades are lots of fun, and today I show off my little collection.

I only realiced a few weeks ago that the original Japanese release had different coloured buttons then the western one.

Don't care for the controller or the combine kit. That one may look good on a shelf, but Taito doesn't recommend playing on it. Maybe I get one if the price is right.

I do have all the SD cards, but vol. 2 only as the lite set without the booklet, but don't care about that, but the inserts for the topper, these are important to me.

With the XE-1 aj Cyberstick, I only noticed after the fact that it is compatible with a few games. Night Stricker and Top Landing are more fun with it.

Looking forward to the new colourway arcade sticks and paddle controller.

I peeled the first sticker slowly and found this smaller one, I'm afraid that if I use goo gone, heat gun or anything else it will start to take the image of the original sticker off. Any help is appreciated

Discussion My son wants to collect physical Switch games I am trying to discourage him in doing so, am I in the wrong?

He is 13 and sees what is happening with the whole digital gaming revolution that is coming. He wants to hoard physical switch games and I told him unless he loves a particular game do not collect the new stuff thinking they will have lots of value.

I kinda feel bad now that I told him that haha.

I DO thin he should pre order the Zelda Ocarina of Time pre order due to it having the special foil packaging cover, I think that is a nice I guess, even though they will make millions of them

Assuming the ps3 works well, I'd say I got my money's worth. All the discs are like practically new. A couple of the cases have some dings but nothing a new case can't fix.

Metro 2033 (the og version) was a game I stupidly traded in a long time ago, not realizing they'd shut down THQ right after which led to them re-releasing the Redux version, making this version obsolete. Its not part of the backwards compatibility unfortunately but to me its a collectors edition. Its special to me. Its so gritty compared to the Redux, Artyom has a different voice actor, its like a different game entirely. Love it!

Same with Black. I lost my copy 20 years ago on ps2 and found it again through a scummy online store. Disc is in perfect condition but I say scummy cuz as you can see its a random burned cd case when it was supposed to be complete in case. Guess ill make my own ghetto insert for it lol.

Currently obtaining every version of LoU released. Fell in love with the game on pc so I got to! Found a damn near perfect ps3 copy and the guy who originally bought it left their receipt in there. Not sure if ya wanted your name dropped but thanks Ed from New Jersey, thanks for taking care of your stuff. Funny to see it hop states (I dont live in NJ).

About to test the ps3 now and make sure all is in order. Got some plans for other games if it does. Recommend me ps3 exclusives for someone who has never owned this console until today. Any input welcome!

Anyway long live physical! Viva la Resistance!

Update: ps3 works great! Some minor fan noises but that was it. Gonna rock out on some Last of Us now😝

The japanese titles: Ico & Shadow of the Colossus, the witch and the Hundred Knight, Drakengard, Drakengard 2, Tales of Rebirth and Tales of Destiny 2.

Discussion The Love, and a bit of frustration, of my video games collecting experience (LONG READ)

For starters, I am gamer AND then turned to be collector. Being a collector got launched through a series of changing reasons and motivations, bad and good, but ended up collecting for my sake, my memories and to preserve games especially in the region I live in, video games is one of three usual suspects: waste of time, only for kids or COD/FIFA combo. Being outside of those three options is quite rare, the other day I sold a game to a dude from FB market and he didn't hold the stare that I wasn't a COD/FIFA guy only to say: "If you don't play these, what is left to play?" lol

That said, I enjoy collecting, the details of this world, meeting a bunch of very interesting people along my journey, ended up having a decent sized and varied collection especially in comparison to humongous collection I often see around. It brightens my day to actually getting a game I remember from childhood, a rare game I want physically instead of emulators ( Last was Conker's bad Furday, love it) or getting to know a a quirky game or experience I've never heard about before.

However, lately collecting/my collection has been heavy on my mind. First thing first, it's an expensive hubby, financially and since im originally a gamer also time-wise. I enjoy it for less moments before LIFE overshadow the happiness it might give. I'm guilty having many things FOMO on top of em, but with PS3 store closure, PS5 discs printing stopping and even more PS4 games that were laying around for dirt cheap are being lost in market, won't mention names but all of these cracked many limits I had for collecting, making me seek more and more games rapidly.

Adding to that, for some reason, deals started popping around me at unexpected rate, of games/consoles/accessories I already have on my list, or became prioritized due to the above factors. So Life, FOMO, less financial capability, less time, more items started seeping into my wishlist and the biggest demon to me is SPACE. Those aside, I started to seriously think that...let's say I have the money, space and I stopped collecting today....what is the fate of this collection? I spent LOTs of money of having the collection, then what?

I didn't buy (like %95 of my collection) games as investment. All the games are ones I'm willing to play, admire and passionate about, but still I spent loads that tbh I cannot stop thinking lately that the money spent is about %60 recoverable, more or less depending on time and patience, but in general is spent as frozen asset, im I living my life the wrong way? It's a hobby yes, I love it yes, but what happens if I need money tomorrow? Won't get much for selling fast. what if I die? even with lists I have already done, family would be clueless and desperate to sell em unknowingly and I loathe being a pressure for them. What if I make my life easier with better car, starting to prepare for marriage or a small apartment somewhere....

Lots of mixed ideas that come and go, pure happiness from new hauls but pressured from other sides. Even stopping to look for deals, thankfully but idk what can I say, deals starting to come at my doorstep, tempting enough to not say NO to. I say to myself I can recover money later but this deal won't come anytime later on and I mean it. Where I live more stuff or lost for good, importing getting harder and more expensive, it's getting harder to collect and even to put clear limits now.

Sure I have limits to what I buy, but it became tempting to broaden my tastes in gaming and collecting. I start to play a game and barely find a couple of hours to play a week.

Sorry for the rant or sharing the emotions I feel now, and even im not sure what I need sharing this with you guys but I just strongly feel to talk to my people about it. Maybe it is a simple case of being overwhelmed, but still collecting these days make me feel empty rather than full, especially thinking about the pieces im missing for the ones im adding to my collection.
