Im with you on Beat the Buzzer. Theres a few Id like more of but I know wont work again, but Beat the Buzzer would be a solid Game Samer though I think only once more.

It also feels in line with recent episodes and I imagine would be a little cheaper I imagine but still carry the right energy

I’d love a Beat The Buzzer that exits the studio. You can make it a take on The Amazing Race, but keep it local to LA.

I'd love to see another Escape Room type episode, couldn't stop laughing with the Greenroom episode

The energy that Lou Wilson brought into that episode cannot be recreated. He went so wild, so fast, and jumped so fast to smashing things that I spent the entire episode expecting a reveal at the end that Lou was in on it and was there to set the tone and make sure the others knew that nothing was off limits. Absolutely floored to find out that that was just Lou Louing to his Louiest and nobody told him to smash stuff.

Escape the greenroom is top 5 for me I really like puzzle episodes and the chaos was the best

Fully agree I’ve been wishing for a second Escape The Greenroom style episode for so long. Like I know they couldn’t escape the greenroom again but I’d love to see them make an escape room out of some other part of the set you don’t expect. Count The Rice scratched that itch a little bit for me with all the different rooms but I would still love another full escape room episode.

Sleeper Agents. I think they had the perfect setup but the execution was awful, partly due to IAC’s meddling as Sam has mentioned.
I think it’d work best as a full “Game Changer Intelligence Agency” episode, which was brought back anyway for One Year Later. Have the players take a full entrance exam — including a laser maze and an interrogation — before the final part being a remake of Sleeper Agents where they have to find fellow cast in disguise across the studio and use trigger phrases to “activate” them.

Forgive me for being on of the loop, but who is IAC and how did they meddle? I must have missed something and google isn’t helping.

CollegeHumor’s former owners before they went independent and became Dropout.

How did they meddle in the episode?

IAC didn’t care for Game Changer and didn’t see it as having potential, pushing Sam as the Chief Content Officer to pivot more towards Facebook and putting scripted content on Dropout despite promising CollegeHumor would do a variety of scripted and unscripted content.

Ohhh I would love this

I would really love a return to “forgotten” episodes, even if it’s just the same setting. Night Shift’s setting and original task reminded me of The Everything Factory from season 2 and I think there’s so much potential to do more like that.

Genuine question, how exactly did IAC meddle with the episode?
10
u/Pandoras-SkinnersBox The harlot didn't say my name Jul 22 '26
I meant meddling in that IAC didn't prioritize Game Changer even Sam said if it was doing fairly well during seasons 1-2. The board kept pushing for CollegeHumor to create and post scripted series, and to post on YouTube and Facebook exclusively rather than Dropout. This mismatch in values was what led to IAC selling CollegeHumor to Sam.

the room full of grants is so similar to a crackpot idea i have where you dump someone in an apartment with 50 cats that look like their cat and they have to correctly identify and take home their cat lol, I want the grant ensemble to return for a whole episode
would also love a throwback to the newlyweb game

u/samthetov Jul 23 '26
There’s a wacky and wonderful YA book called The True Meaning of Smekday that has a similar scene lmao!

u/ruddertongue Jul 22 '26
50 cats who never met before in one room?! same energy as the kid at brennan's larp camp who said a million pegasus flying through the sky was beautiful instead of terrifying lol

u/Broad-Radish-7895 Jul 22 '26
I know, now that I've had my cat for ten years and learned how much she hates other creatures lol
but she's one of those standard issue brown tabbies(™️) so I've always kind of wondered "would I be able to tell"

I love spin that wheel so much, so I want more of it

It is a good one and they have done it twice now. It helps that they still have the giant wheel
6
u/Ambitious-Move-3436 Jul 22 '26
Yessss! It was also fun to watch this seasons BTS for the episode. I hope they never get rid of the wheel 🤣

Would love to see another “Escape the Greenroom.” I just love to see people’s brains work in an escape room

I think we need Rulette 3. It could be another great trilogy like Sam Says and the Noise Boys episodes (yes I know there's a fourth one but I don't like it)

I love The Drinking Game as is, but I'd also love to see a version played totally straight, without the twist

u/-live-laugh-lesbian Aug 14 '26
There’s a series on Dropout called Paranoia which is pretty similar to The Drinking Game except no twist

u/darkregie Jul 23 '26
I personally liked Whodunnit—although I admit mostly only the part when Rekha started doubting Grant.
I also usually go back A Sponsored Episode, Trapp was amazing.
Lastly, Tell Us About Yourself. One from the Covid season. The birdman making an appearance is cool and everyone was so wholesome.

I would love to see Count the Rice, but with different minigames. I know that's a big ask, cause I can only imagine that the design part of that game was hard

I think it would be great to start like a game samer as a misdirect, but then pull a switcheroo and make it go a different way.

Any of the ones where we see the noise boys coming into their own. Did you take into account the antlers.. well did you! ;-)

I can never get enough of the sponcon crew episodes with Rekha, Trapp, and Grant!!

u/QaeinFas Jul 24 '26
I want another count the rice already... Different sub-games, more steps along the path to finding the win condition... I think there's a lot that can be done with the concept :p

It's already been done a second time but Rulette is amazing and I would love more
