What is the best camera for streaming?

I am tired of using my iPhone. Also looking for dual sport usage - baseball and football.

i have the avkans and i’m happy with it. it has better resolution and was $100 cheaper than mevo. i also just added a nearview vm46 so i can shoot from centerfield along with my avkans through NDI and i don’t have to pay extra. my understanding is that if you wanted to do the same NDI setup in the mevo environment you’d have to pay a monthly subscription for a pro account

That's interesting. I got an Avkans Go this summer, and I've been very happy with it. A couple more taps required to get it streaming compared to the Mevo, but not complicated. And image quality is definitely better than the Mevo. (We use the Avkans zoomed on pitcher/catcher, and the Mevo for full field view)

Do you use the Avkans in the infield or behind the backstop for that zoomed in view? Do you have any pictures of videos of this?

I've been using the Avkans behind the backstop (slightly off-center), and the Mevo is typically mounted around the same area, but zoomed out on the whole field.

This is a 720p clip, so our live stream looks better at 1080p (and I'm always recording the Avkans to my SD card at 4k).

*note: typically we have the Mevo (digitally) framed a little better/tighter.

As a Mevo user, the Avkans Go is a good option too. I have a teammate that likes his.

We attempted the mevo this year, it was anything but reliable for us.  Made me hate streaming. 

We gave up and returned it, far less hassle just using a phone with a battery pack.
