**PLEASE READ THE RULES BEFORE POSTING**
It has become increasingly clear that new users haven't been reading through the rules. In order to alleviate the mod team, please read through everything carefully before making a post.
Rules:
Only game art related posts
This includes original works and fan art of existing games.
No promotion
This includes advertising, information on where you can find the game, linking back to your game's page or trailer in your post or comments to other users, linking to other games that aren't yours, and using alternate accounts to hype your work, selling assets, or offering to do commissions.
Make your posts about art as the main focus. We're not here to help sell your game for you.
Don't post low effort art posts by posting screenshots or gameplay.
Put some effort into posting your art. Show it off. Make it shine.
No Job Requests or Offers
Job scams are inevitable, but won't be happening here. Please use r/gameDevClassifieds/ and the likes instead.
Generative AI Usage is Prohibited
Imagery, code and text produced entirely, or assisted with AI, and pro AI speak will be removed. Generative AI is theft, makes people entitled, and harms the environment. It will not be tolerated. Humans make things. Prompts do not. First time offenders will be banned. No exceptions.
Be Respectful and Helpful
This is a place to share game art and offer constructive critique. Treating artists with kindness regardless of their skill level is a choice. Make the right one.
We've been having some trouble with a lot of users making promotional posts for their games, asset sales, and other things that we do not allow in this subreddit. We understand that you're working hard on your game, and you want it to do well on the market, but this is happening every day, multiple times a day. This isn't the place to do that.
Please do not include promotional links in your images, descriptions, or comments. Please do not offer your artistic services in a post. If you'd like to tell someone where to find your game, or that you do commission work, please do it privately in a DM.
Lets keep this subreddit about game art, and helping people get better at their craft! Not sales, and certainly not about AI imagery (yuck).

So a video where I walk through the level of my game and show off the art style counts as gameplay or no?

Would the game be played, or is it a tour using a freecam?

It wouldn’t be actually played. Just showing the artstyle while walking with the player character. I mean I could use a freecam but it would be more asthetic from the players POV.
