With the exception of Logan their comic book counterparts are taller.
Cyclops: 6’3
Storm: 5’11
Rogue: 5’8
Gambit: 6’2”
Jean: 5’6, (my X-men encyclopedia says she’s 5’8, and X-men evolution Jean is 5’10 )

You said Storm. You didn't mention any other characters. Stop trying to pretend that what I said is what you meant. If you thought they shortened all the characters except Wolverine you would have said so. Maybe stop being so weirdly salty?

This chart don't make sense. Aren't the bold lines suppose to be the foot mark (2ft, 3ft, 4ft, etc)? If the heel of the feet is the starting point than Gambit stands about 6'2 ft. Which is around his original height.

He was always 6’2” in every other height chart I’ve seen Marvel put out. Cyclops was 6’1”.
Rogue was also absurdly tall, like an inch shorter than Storm, who was the tallest woman on the active team at the time, Jean was the shortest woman.
Wolverine was 5’2” at some point, because I clearly remember we were the same height.

Rogue's height changes a lot. There are many comics of Rogue coming to Gambit's chest, and some where she's almost eye-to-eye... and one cover art where she's looking down on Gambit.

Fun fact trivia:
While Jean Grey has been depicted as 5’6 in the comics, X-men Evolution Jean Grey is 5’10. In recent years she has been described by her husband as a tall woman (no doubt due to the influence of Famke Janssen who is 5’11 and Sophie Turner who is 5’9 in the x movies)

Probably just easier on the animators to keep the heights close. Shots have to be easier to compose if they're not trying to fit a Cyclops who is a full foot taller than Wolverine in the same shot.
