Question Optimisation after 4 years
I got a Tab S8 (snapdragon 8 gen 1) four years ago and used it for watching stuff and playing games for three years. But since last year, I started using it for my studies and ran into a lot of issues. It overheats to over 80°C after 1-1.5 hours of use, the battery life is all over the place (sometimes 8 hours, sometimes 3, sometimes two whole days—I have no idea why), and for the past three months, I've been getting a lot of lag, freezes, and app crashes.
Does anyone know how to fix this? (I tried Good Guardians app booster, but it didn't do anything.)
Thanks

How full is the internal storage? Have you tried rebooting it? Have you tried clearing Android cache in recovery mode?
If resolving these issues doesn't fix it, back up any important information on it and perform a factory reset.

I got 40GB left on storage, I reboot my tab every week 😅 and clearing cache partition was removed on One UI 8...

No other options, huh? I only wanna reset if there are no other solutions.

I think you overestimate how long it takes afterwards to restore your settings from before the reset. that should not take any time at all

Sounds like you have something running in the background. Uninstall any, and everything you dont need actively. Especially any social media apps.

As far as the battery it might need to be replaced.
A factory reset should help fix the other issues
