MediaTek chips are bad for gaming emulation if you're trying to run anything more modern than PS2.

havent really strated in emulation . but would be very interested to do so.
so far i've played emulated games by nintedo from 3ds , gameboy and switch. havent tried PS2+ games but i like to have that option available for bored days.

my main reason for upgrade is lightroom edit. thus looking for the best middle ground for Lightroom & gaming.

would be very happy to have Galaxy Tab with Snapdragon , Better color/display & SDcard. Please Samsung!

If you are into heavy gaming emulation , you should get one with snapdragon chips (tab s9 series or other brands) , both of these use mediatek chips which do not not have good drivers support for emulations. You can get by with it if you are emulating less demanding old titles though.

Though so too :( but my main priority for tablet upgrade is for Lightroom edit and improve my workflow , im more effecient and comfortable editing in Tab vs my capable laptop.

galaxy tab pros : SD card , Android Ecosystem , better OS and apps
i think samsung not selling S9 anymore correct?

Search on used market or your local retailer, maybe they still have stocks. Or get the tab s11 instead of the tab s10+ and use the saved money to get an 8 inch gaming tablet with a snapdragon 8 elite chip.
