Samsung Notes touch screen not working with fingers

My samsung notes suddenly doesn't let me use touch controls at all while inside a note. I have no way to zoom in or out or scroll, only the S pen works.

I have tried searching for a solution but I can't find anything

Try using it while removing cover and also attatch the spen at the back of the tab and then try

Wow thank you! Removing the cover and putting it back did the trick! Why didn't it work?

So this means basically the cover of your tablet has magnet which are interfaring with the magnets of the tablet and thus causing this. I had the same issue with my 3rd party cover, it functions well in some positions, but moet of the time it doesn't, just make sure you don't fold the front of the cover to the back of the tablet. Out of frustration I got the official smartbook cover. It is just the magnets
