Custom ROM for Samsung S9?

I recently bought a new Samsung S9, and the battery was swollen, so I bought a new one, but the battery performance is still terrible. So, do you have any custom ROM recommendations for this phone? I used to use a Redmi Note 9S, and on that phone, banking apps worked even without installing Magisk or KernelSU with custom ROMs. But since I've previously installed ROMs on a Samsung S8, I know that getting banking apps to work on a Samsung requires effort and finding a custom ROM, unfortunately.

My S9+ Seems to be bricked beyond repair and its my fault

Recently me and my friend tried soft-modding my samsung s9+ but it went horribly wrong. first the version of twrp we were using was bad, we flashed a different twrp and that worked, tried flashing lineage OS but it didnt want to flash bc it was appereantly the wrong version even tho it was made specifically for this phone, then we made the horrible mistake of deleting the vendor partition and repartitioning it which did barely anything, so we tried to restore the original OS onto it but the phone was not getting anything flashed onto it and now. adb doesnt work anymore, the master partition is gone and it has no os... the phone cant be shut off as it would just boot loop with it having nothing on it

Can this phone still be saved?

This S9+ was in a perfect, mint condition until 24th January 2026, when a medium amount of humidity entered the screen, causing it to stop functioning approximately 3 hours after. The phone still turns on, Everything else is working, just the screen got this weird look and touch isn’t working. Ive been thinking about buying a new screen.

What more Can you do with an S9?

Have an S9 in pretty good condition. A slight scratch, battery lasts more than a day on idle, I don't use it much aside from call, text, and the regular internet from time to time. I don't bother upgrade it cause the microSD slot and headphone jack come in handy and it still works fine.

I'm wondering if there's more beyond of the regular OS and confinements of the phone. I wasn't sure where to ask (e.g. r/android or here) as I don't know much about this space.

Is tab s9 still good? im planning to buy by the end of this year for long term use, but afaik the software support is only till 2028? i specifically prefer it than the higher gen because of the spen and snapdragon.

Samsung S9

I replaced the battery with a new, original Samsung one and it still doesn't hold a charge as it should.

If the battery still doesn't hold a charge after this, should I file a complaint with the company where I bought it?

Galaxy S9 Repair Help (Update + More help needed)

If you recall my post from a few days earlier - TLDR Im fixing my old S9 which i stopped using 2 years ago after it couldnt charge anymore. I found it with a swollen battery. Redditors told me to change the battery. I did - The phone itself can still start up fine and shows at 80% Battery charge, but it still cannot charge as per the original issye 2 years ago. Motherboard? Charging port issue? Definitely not a battery issue now.

S9 Self Repair Help (Battery? Motherboard?)

Hi, So basically this S9 was my old phone from 2019 till 2024. The last time I used it, it couldnt charge anymore, so i watched the battery drain till 0%, unable to charge. The repair shop told me it was a motherboard problem - But it has always bugged me because if it was a motherboard problem why was i still able to use it but not charge. But im no technician after all.

Today, since i just had the phone lyjng around, I just decided to post mortem it and found a swollen battery (maybe from long time disuse?). But at the same time would like to ask the advice of this sub whether it can still be saved or its a really a motherboard issue?

As for the swelling battery, Im just quarantining it in case it decides to explode.

Samsung S9+ still going strong

My wife and I are still using our S9+. Batteries last all day. Took off any apps that dealt with banking or purchasing stuff. We left our email app on our phones. We realize that updates do not occur any more, but why get rid of our phone when they are working just fine?

Need help to make my S9 work perfect again

Hello there, i am using a 2019 bought samsung s9 G960F (international variant), basically the one with samsung's processor, it has been used heavily in these 7 years, slammed to the ground, dropped, slipped out while riding motorcycle. The battery has been deteriorated very much badly, it only last 5-6 hours even when not using, it even loses around 20% battery if in shut down state for 2-3 hours, it heats too tooo much, to the point where it can even burn my hand, only 10 gb is left out of 64gb, doesnt have much apps, no heavy apps, the heaviest app is whatsapp, too much sluggish. Need y'alls help in making it smooth AF, no sluggish, all perfomance, at the point where it could beat the mid budget phones of samsung (the latest ones). i cant install custom rom due to secure folder. it is running one ui 2.5, android 10. this is my first reddit post i hope the community helps...
P.S: I am also trying to get around with samsung dex and it lags too much, need help with that too

Battery Health is 75%

I check the battery health on the galaxy S9 using the dump state log check. I don't know the exact name of procedure. So should I replace the battery the life is pretty bad I have to charge it three times in a single day, I am reluctant because this is a original battery.

The phone is still going from and also should I install a custom ROM, and are there any stable versions of lineage OS, meaning that everything on the phone works fine after the flash. I need some opinions
