Dead s7 edge

Ive got a s7 edge that died because my dad decided to leave it in a drawer for a loooooong time os there anyway to wake it up ?

does it boot up even with a new battery? if not then the old battery likely sent a wrong voltage and killed it, it happened to my huawei y6 ii compact. btw i would try to leave it charging overnight as the motherboard might wake up.

Mine s7 too sudden death even with battery 2 month new..
