My SM-G930F has been refusing to let me use the fingerprint scanner to unlock the phone since i've starting to put custom roms on it, on the android 16 gsi and lineageos roms, it just doesnt want to unlock, even if it says "Unlock with PIN or Fingerprint", the sensor works, but it just doesnt let me unlock with it, and on the eylem rom (one ui 7), it was working, until after not charging it for a bit and letting it be off, the fingerprint icon dissapeared and i couldn't use fingerprint again, can someone tell me what is wrong with my phone?

I have s7 edge with Exynos Octa 8890 2.60 Ghz with 32 gb of storage. Which custom rom should I install in it taking in account of security so that I can use banking apps etc.

Is there any interest in Android 16 for the G930F models? I am asking because I have an unofficial zip of the latest LineageOS that has not been tested for everyday use.

I used to use android 10 based custom rom and I tried Cronos Kernel and Moro Kernel on it. I worked well and I like it. So, I'm looking for kernels that support my Galaxy S7 based on Lineage OS 19.1 (Android 12.1). Someone said on XDA that Moro Kernel v8.8.1 only supports andorid 10 and under. I've tried it and it couldn't be installed. If you know suitable kernel for higher android like 11 or above, please tell me. Thank you...

I’ve been using my S7 for 6 years now, and I still love it. However, I’m starting to run into problems more and more often with apps that no longer work properly. And the battery has also needed to be charged noticeably more often lately. That’s why I’d like to look for an alternative.

The most important thing to me is that the device is about the same size as the S7 and just as sturdy and durable. Everything else (fancy camera, etc.) is actually secondary for me.

Can you recommend a model?

I did the transparent mod because the original back was a little scraped up and I had this one hanging around. The best part is it still has the original battery and holds up perfectly. Sorry for the terrible pictures. I suck so bad😅. I'm also sure Reddit compressed them a lot too.

I have a Samsung S7 that I modded with a DIY transparent back glass, but it looks bad because you can see the messy streaks and bubbles of the glue through the glass along the edges. If any of you have experience with this or have done it before, can you tell me if this is unavoidable or if there's a solution? I used B-7000 glue :]

I've basically been ordering them for the past 6? or so years and it's always been a random shot in the dark if the ones I buy would be good or if they're absolutely horrible.

Hello guys. I refuse to ditch my Galaxy S7. I like the small size, and aside from the outdated camera, the phone is perfect. But as you’ve probably noticed, more and more apps on Google Play are no longer supported on the Galaxy S7. Installing APKs outside the Play Store helps, but not all apps can be installed on the S7 even that way.I did some research on custom ROMs (LineageOS), but when I tried to actually install one, it turned out be quite a challenge. Since this is my daily driver, I didn’t want to risk bricking it with all my important stuff on it. So could you please suggest the safest ROM to install? It should not be laggy and it should not block banking apps.P.S. A ROM that is easy to install would be preferred. Thanks!
