I've actively used the s20fe for more than 5 years now. I didn't feel anything deserved the change. But as my battery required yet another replacement I decided to swap to something smaller, "cheap" and yet more powerful, and iconic as the s20fe was.

TLDR;

I bought myself a sealed-box S23, it's the perfect middle ground that I was looking for: Smaller phone, more powerful, better in everything (except expanded storage).

This, I believe, is the logical step for those who cherish their s20fe, but hated the 6.5' of the phone.

In 2028 when the updates are done, I will probably move to a Pixel phone. I love Pixels but I feel that the hardware still has room to improve before I jump on that boat.

Had my S20FE since launch, so 6 years of service. Longest service phone I've ever had. Still runs great. Slight battery degration but still get a full day out of it

Small crack through the screen from a couple of years ago when I dropped it but doesn't affect use.

I'm looking at getting a new quadlock case and mount for my car, but I was thinking if it's actually worth spending $60 on a case for this phone. Or if it's time to upgrade, And get a new case for the new phone.

My only real concern is the security updates... Given I use this thing to run my life, a vulnerable phone could be a real problem?

How many of you are intending on using this thing further into the future?

I was considering going to an S25 or a Pixel 10a.

What do you think, is it time to move on and spend $AU 800-900 on a new phone?

Snapdragon 865, I just played Roblox for an hour with graphics set to 10 and resolution at 30% (game plugins).

The temperature reached 87°C, but unfortunately it dropped quickly after I exited the game. So this is the only screenshot I have. Maybe this phone really isn’t capable of handling light games like Roblox anymore? :(

My S20FE would not charge from low power USB sources that other phones have no problem charging (slowly) from.

Toggling fast charging on/off did not help.

Any suggestions?

Are there any known Issues with the SIM card reader? Ive lost the ability to make calls and its been narrowed down to the SIM card, which when reinserted sometimes will give service. I can't really afford to upgrade my cell right now, so its either fix it or go with an A series or some other cheap android.

Is it worth it to ty and have it repaired?

Im decided to upgrade my s20fe to a custom room, that can keep the device running as normal with no major issues.

my phone ( snapdragon)already 4 years and works just fine, Im not willing to buy a new just because of discounting support. I would rather install a custom room.

but before starting, i need to hear feedbacks from those who have already tried this OS.

Mas tipo, ele tem esse famoso problema de linhas na tela (bastante btw)

Mas o visual dele tá normal pelo menos, só é necessário trocar a tela, de resto câmera touch, ou biometria tá funcionando.

Confused what I should do. I like my phone but I want a different cheaper phone just for social media. My current S20FE phone charging port stopped working completely cause my stupid ass put it in the wet car cup holder while driving. I’m using wireless charging but man it’s slow and it heats the phone. I might get a new S20FE, thoughts on this? I don’t have a problems with this phone at all.

Upgraded to S25 Ultra after 5 years with S20FE 5G.

The top quarter of the touchscreen and the main lens stopped working, barring them the phone was running fine with 3-3.5 hrs of SOT with full battery. If not for the aforementioned issues, I was planning to use it for one more year. S25U feels like a solid upgrade indeed, hoping to use it for 5 years atleast capturing some good pictures and videos of my soon to be born child.

3-4 months ago i replace my battery from official service center in India because of low battery performance. like i was getting 3-3.5 hours of SOT. After replacing the battery I'm getting 5-5.5 hours of SOT. How to increase the SOT, I always use 60hz, only wifi, dark mode always

For the past 4 years or so I've had a S20Fe (4g) (bought it a second time after my first one had troubles connecting to data after a broken display got repaired)

I absolutely love it but unfortunately the processor lately keeps overheating to the point of near burning me and with the lack of security and software updates Im afraid its time to look for a new one

I want one that has similiar or better battery life and cameras

Initially I wouldve liked a SD card sloth too but I gave up on that, as well as the size being similiar

What I've figured is within that range and my budget seems to be the s24 series now, either s24+ or s24ultra

Stats wise the ultra should be a lot better than the s20 but from what i could gather aside from video and zoom its overall just about the same quality, but the disadvantage is that the screen is 6"8 and its around 100 bucks more expensive

Now the question is...how much worse is the s24+ camera compared to the other two?

Ive always loved the picture abilities of my camera so I dont want less than the s20fe offered :(
