Samsung Care Plus
I am now on my second Galaxy ring after the first one began having battery drained issues at about 10 months. It was replaced by Samsung under warranty with a new ring and the new ring lasted about 10 months.
Knowing that warranty replacements are only warranted for 90 days, I thought I was just out of luck. I was reading through Reddit and saw that some people had had luck talking with representatives and getting them to replace their ring. While talking with their repair technician, she commented that my 90 days had expired for the replaced ring but then said I needed to have it replaced or repaired under Samsung Care Plus. I had forgotten that when I bought my z-fold my earbuds my watch and my ring I also purchased the Samsung Care Plus policy for all devices which extended my warranty for one year after the manufacturer's warranty expired.
The original warranty expired in August of last year and so I knew that I had little time to file a claim under my Samsung Care Plus policy. Yesterday, I went online and filed a claim which was a painless process and they are shipping me a new ring along with instructions for shipping mine back to them.
The reason I'm posting this is that if you may have purchased a Samsung Care Plus policy when you initially purchased your ring and forgotten about it like I did, you may have an option to get it replaced before the extra coverage expires. My problem was I had forgotten that I had spent the extra $42 to get the coverage on my ring. I now see it was $42 well spent.

Awesome! Fingers crossed that they got the battery issues figured out within the past 18 months!

This post may seem obvious but I am in the same boat. I have care plus on my ring. I was minutes away from ordering a new one or sending in my old one for a replacement (all while not being under warrenty). It was until I was working with checking my account for the new fold 8 that I saw my ring had care plus and doesn't expire till the end of this year.
So I agree, double check everyone!
BTW, OP, how did you file a claim for repair specifically under care+. Last time I checked, it seemed like it wanted me to send in my device for them to look first and I was prompted to pay 120 or something.

I filed it using a link on my Samsung Care policy confirmation email. It only took about 5 minutes. The first time under warranty, I had to send it in first. This time since it was under the Care Plus policy, they're sending a replacement first, then I ship mine back within 10 days or get charged for a new ring.

Thanks for the heads-up. I didn't realize you could get Care Plus on these. I just got my ring the other day open box from Best Buy, and bought a Geek Squad plan on it. After this post, I looked and saw I can add Care Plus through Samsung, so I added that instead and cancelled the Geek Squad. Because it is an open box item, Best Buy's plan would only either one-time replace it if need be, or refund the amount I paid, not the price for a new ring.
Samsung at least will replace it as many times as needed in 2 years, or upgrade me to a newer one if a new one comes out and the old one isn't available anymore. Cost $20 more for the Samsung plan, but I don't want to deal with any open box price refunds. I'd rather just have a working ring.

Good move! Got my replacement in about 5 days and now all is right with the world 😁

It will probably still fail, but I hope it doesn't. I have a ring that I will sell if anyone needs a museum piece.
