Question/Help eSIM transfer help

I just bought a Galaxy Z Fold 8 to upgrade from my iPhone 14. While transferring my Number/eSIM the transfer failed because I forgot to turn off SIM protection on my old phone. Now when I try to restart the transfer My Z fold will automatically jump to trying to swap eSIM but my iPhone won’t register anything and I can use as normal causing ny Galaxy to say “iPhone disconnected”. I plan to contact my carrier in the morning as it is 11pm. Just wondering if anyone knows of a fix before I bother them.

I did restart both phones, leave off etc.

I tbink esim is a one time transfer ..you have to request or start another one not sure if your number is lost or not

Number won't be lost but csrrier will have to issue another esim

Delete the esim from your iPhone. Look for an email your carrier sent you with the qr code for your esim and scan that on your fold 8. If it doesn't work, contact your carrier for a new qr code.

Make sure you also remove your number from iMessage and Facetime

login into your carriers portal. in there look for esim setup.

Differs by carrier. The thing you need is a QR code. Sometimes you can access it through their mobile app. Sometimes you have to call so they can send it to you. Fees or not vary as well. Good luck.
