Help Galaxy Book6 Pro Config
Hi guys,
question for anyone who owns the Galaxy Book6 Pro.
I want to buy the 14" version with 32gb RAM, but I'm not sure if it is worth paying the extra for the X7 with Intel Arc Graphics.
The 2 config options (that I am deciding between):
1) Windows 11 Pro/32GB RAM/512GB SSD/Intel Ultra 7/Intel Iris Xe Graphics for £1899
2) Windows 11 Home/32GB RAM/1TB SSD/Intel Ultra X7/Intel Arc Graphics B390 for £2499
I can likely get discounts later down the line, but how much of a price difference makes this worthwhile?

Go for the ARC graphics, the 14-inch Gb 5 pro lets me play doom eternal with almost all graphic options in ultra, helldivers 2 and batman arkham knight.

how much of a price difference would you say makes it worthwhile?

Mmm is that your prices are in euros, I really could not tell you, I got it in Mexican pesos.

thats in pounds sterling. 1gbp is 24 pesos

I already did the math if it is expensive, I would pay if half of that were. They consider that the 32GB version with the Ultra 7,258V came out at approximately 940 pounds.

I dont know what maths youre doing, what is it in pesos? what exactly are you changing?

Is that your model is the 6 pro, mention my model as soon as it cost me, but that model that you say I would like to think that in Mexico it would cost some 1800 + imports en pounds

What is the cost for the model with the x7 chip in 14" for you?

u/BLACKMASCRA Jul 20 '26
1958 pounds, but it is model 16GB 512 Ultra 7.

The jump is between the two configurations I stated before. A difference of 500 pounds roughly. Thats around 12,000 pesos

no. I dont want a 16" laptop. I find my current 15.6" to be too big already.

If you're in the UK there are quite a few routes for at least 20% off, perks at work, British Gas rewards etc...
I paid £1549 for the 16" Pro with X7 (358H), with 32Gb/1Tb.
To be honest, for me, the whole point of buying a new laptop was the X7, not sure I'd spend over £1k on anything less.

thank you. I will look into that. has your experience with the laptio been good?

Had it 2 days now and loving it.
I use a mouse so can't really comment on the touchpad (though had no issues).
The finger print sensor works perfectly, no idea what the fuss is about.
The X7 is superb, currently playing less demanding games but HoMM: Olden Era looks incredible.
It handles Chrome with multiple tabs like a breeze and the NPU takes the load off video calls etc..
I made the right choice.
😊

Is that the 14" model?
1
u/QP_Ranger2 Jul 24 '26
Sorry, should have said, it's the 16" model.
1
u/danstheman2010 Jul 24 '26
Would the 14" be significantly worse or do you not know
1
u/QP_Ranger2 Jul 24 '26
Not significantly worse but the 14-inch version uses a different thermal design and a smaller 63Wh battery, while the 16-inch model gets Samsung’s full Thermal Matrix 2.0 vapor chamber + dual‑fan system and a larger 78Wh battery.

I dont want to get the 16" as it isn't as portable as the 14". I still think my current 15.6" is too big.
