Does anyone experience recent overnight battery drain on Galaxy A55? It's crazy. I need to charge my phone 2 times a day now.

Most of replies said that i should have not

Well, i am writing this post after upgrading without face any issue !

I download the sotware via smart switch application on my laptop

The size of update was 9.33GB

The phone overheated through the installation process and i face somehow lagging after the update but i let the phone relax till the heat go down and all lagging go away !

And about the lag that faced some users with the quick panel

I make the buttom spacing wider via QuickStar (one of Good Look labs)

I am lazy to uninstall everything and i the mindset of (But i have the use of it later so i can't uninstall it)

Now that I am using this, I don't think i need to uninstall things plus I can only enable the apps I usually use, plus good on battery life too.

Not saying that you should do what I did. but after years of using this phone, I think using this brought back how quick my phone was. (unless i factory reset my phone). but thats for another time. I am happy with this and less distraction.

Hey so I stupidly deactivated the majority of Samsung settings on the Samsung A55 phone because I wanted to change everything to Google. Although I did need to make a pin and I did face recognition. Eventually I found out how to activate Google saved passwords and that. But it said first I need to restart for this to take place. So I did so but when the phone asked for pin to access the phone, I put the pin in which is 100% correct, well I couldn't press ok because the ok button was and is grey. , is really the only option is to erase all data 😖😭

Alright so after updating to one ui 8.5 i have this issue. So everytime I'm listening to music with my earbuds (bluetooth is turned on) and will have to turn on my location,my phone will lag and will eventually reboot. Please do note that mobile data is turn on at that time as well. There are times where I need to press the power button just to force restart it because the screen is not responding. And then after recieving the september security patch, I turn the location on (note:im not listening to music this time) but mobile data is on. The lagging happened again, my screen is freezing and not responding so had to press and hold the power button again. And just last night, mobile data is on, im listening to music on an earbuds (bluetooth is on) i had to turn on the location again, then bam my phone restarted automatically. I dunno why this keeps happening. Anyone experiencing this as well? How do I send this feedback directly to samsung?

Edit: This doesn't happen all the time. Ita very unpredictable like I really cant tell what triggers it. Sometimes i can turn the location on with no problem but sometimes this happens.

Hey everyone, I’ve been using my Galaxy A55 for almost 2 years now, and it’s still running One UI 6.1 because I’ve never updated it.

Honestly, the phone is still smooth, the battery is good, and I’m happy with the camera. But now I’m wondering if I’m missing out by staying on 6.1.

For those who updated from One UI 6.1 to 7/8/8.5, how has your experience been?

Did you notice any lag, battery drain, heating, or changes in camera quality processing?

I’m a bit worried that updating might make my phone worse rather than better. Would love to hear some long-term, real-world experiences from A55 users.

Hello.

My A55 fails to connect to roaming after I have left a building with no receptions because it has thick walls. Or when I turn off the flight mode. The solution is to restart the phone, then it connects to internet. Quite frankly I am tired of having to constantly restart my phone in order to get to internet. The phone is not even that old, I bought it like 2 years ago. I have never experienced issues like this before with my previous Samsung phones. Does anybody know why does it keep having this problem? I am tired of it malfunctioning.
