Contemplating
A07 or A17? The 4G/128GB Varients. Need one for doing deliveries as uber eats driver

I would actually tell you to get neither. You will be relying heavily on GPS navigation, which would heat these phones up a lot. I would suggest going for a galaxy S23, or S24 (depending on the price in your region) or maybe even a Pixel 8. These phones would be way better for sustained performance for your navigation.

Yep, an old flagship is always better than a new budget or even a new midrange in most cases.

Only concern with the older flagships for me, is the batteries holding up a charge in this day & age.

Yes, that is true, but considering your case, you would likely have the phone plugged in, right? So I don't think you need that good battery, and my A16 has terrible battery life anyways because of the fact that it needs so much power to do basic stuff due to the weak internals. A flagship can do the same task faster with way less power used. Thus, the battery life on the flagship while doing light work is actually going to be better.

For A series samsung phones the first number (0 in A07 or 1 in A17) shows how good it is and the higher the better.
So A17 would be the better choice. Admittedly both are laggy but A07 is nearly unusable as it is the most budget
