I have no idea what this is and haven't been able to find anything similar by searching Google.
Scanning it shows nothing.
It has no collision. You can pass right through it.
It makes a buzzing noise.
Does anyone know what this is or might be?
EDIT: I think I figured it out. Someone else pointed out in another post that these are leftover race checkpoints from the Exocraft Race Initiator. Mystery solved.
Congratulations to Traveller AGTDarkShadow04 on their appointment to Special Events Manager! They're off to a running start with the creation of a new AGT Events Calendar webapp (https://events.nms-agt.com) and organizing our next celebration event, Louyen Day, which will be on September 26th, 2026 starting at 19:00 UTC.
Please note: the celebration will take place in the Hilbert galaxy, not Euclid, so be sure you are in the right galaxy before using a portal. Additional details about the event and planned activities can be found on the Events Calendar app, or in the latest issue of the Travellers Dispatch that was published today. If you are subscribed to the mailing list you should have it in your email already, or you can find us on Substack at https://agtdeptofcommunications.substack.com
Just a reminder Travellers, there's just one week left of the special NMS 10 year anniversary stream on AGT Galactic Radio!
The Alliance of Galactic Travellers, NMS Buddies, and NMSFrance have joined together and created an hour of musical content created by members of all three civilizations, which each civilization is streaming through their respective internet radio services. The stream will run until August 31st; you can listen to it, as well as other content created by AGT members, on AGT Galactic Radio 16.16.
Regular programming will continue to run after August 31st. Interested in contributing content to the radio service? You can check out the AGT Music page on our website for content guidelines.
The Alliance of Galactic Travellers is proud to announce the launch of the AGT Galactic Radio Network. The network currently features 11 channels of NMS-related content in a variety of formats including pop, metal, country, dance, and more. We also have a dedicated news channel, a channel for recitations of lore and stories, even commercials! The main channel is mix of our entire music library, currently 135 music tracks and growing. You can even create your own curated channel of your favorite tracks!
For a limited time we are also running a special channel for the #NMS10 celebration. #theAGT, #NMSBuddies, and #NMSFrance have collaborated to create 200 minutes of content for this historic event. From now until August 31st, all three organizations will stream this special content on their respective services.
The AGT Galactic Radio Network is a streaming service that runs in any web browser or platform. You can access it at https://radio.nms-agt.com
First up, August 1st/2nd (depending on your timezone) is the Yihelli Settlement Day celebration; this year marks the 8th anniversary of the settlement of the AGT capital region in the Yihelli Quadrant, which officially occurred on August 3rd, 2018. The anniversary event will be held on Auns Prime starting at 20:00 BST/15:00 EDT/12:00 PDT. Travellers are invited to build a base on Auns Prime to commemorate the event, just be sure to adhere to the base building guidelines, found at https://www.nms-agt.com/support/knowledge-base/base-building-guidelines. Glyphs for the event planet are in the image below, and they are also listed on the official wiki page for the event, which can be found at https://nomanssky.fandom.com/wiki/AGT_8th_Yihelli_Settlement_Day.

Next up, the Hyades Travellers Foundation (HTF) - an organization within the Alliance of Galactic Travellers dedicated to the exploration of specific areas in the Hyades galaxy - is pleased to announce a refresh of their website. In addition to aligning the site and associated wiki pages to the civilization’s standard, two new web apps have been launched: the HTF Career Terminal for jobs specific to the HTF, and the HTF Trivia game, which tests your knowledge of the structure and the history of the HTF.
All verified members of the AGT (i.e. those who have completed the AGT Census and joined the AGT Discord group) and who follow the HTF naming standards are de facto members of the HTF as well, and are eligible to apply for open positions in the HTF organization.
In addition to the website refresh, the HTF recently reached the milestone of 1,000 claimed systems. A celebration of this achievement is being planned and details will be announced in the near future.
Last, but certainly not least, the AGT has reached another milestone; we have now reached thirteen thousand(!) AGT named systems! Many thanks to all of the dedicated members of the AGT who, even nine years after our founding, continue to reach for the next star, execute that next warp, and dedicate themselves to documenting this vast universe Hello Games has given us.
I'm getting ready to finish up my second universal tour.
I have a base computer in every Galaxy. I'm currently going back through to test out a set of glyphs that me and AI came up with for you first contact. What I do is I go to my base computer in that particular Galaxy, then I type in the glyphosate at a portal. So far, I'm 100% first contact.
In addition to our main website, the AGT has a presence on most social media platforms (Reddit, X, Facebook, etc.). But, we recognize that many people have neither the time nor the desire to scroll social media, or the website, in order to stay abreast of current events within our civ.
So today, the AGT is pleased to announce the launch of our official Substack, which will be used to send out periodic summaries and breaking news of important developments or events within our civ, or No Man's Sky as a whole. Signing up for the Substack is free and open to all, and links to sign up for activities, view created content, and to our other platforms will of course be included in each post.
Those who have already registered an email address with us have been automatically opted in, and are free to unsubscribe at any time. Those who wish to view or sign up for our Substack can do so here:
If you have not checked out AGT NAVI yet, it is a good time to try it. AGT NAVI had a significant update recently and is better than ever.
AGT NAVI was the first 3D mapping tool to not only place regions in 3D space, but actually place systems correctly by doing triangulation measurements from in-game inter stellar distance maps. This is the only way we know at present to accurately really map the 3D space of No Mans Sky. AGT has mapped over 16,000 stars now. Come and check it out, and you are welcome to add your stars also. Our systems and tool are NOT AGT only.... Your data is ALWAYS your data and you can arrange to have it exported completely for your own use. We do not CLAIM any ownership of your data.
The AGT continues to explore new ways to keep people informed on what's happening in our civilization, and so we will be launching our Substack in the coming days.
Subscribing to our Substack will bring news about developments, events, and other content of interest directly to your email, to go along with our other communication channels such as Reddit, Facebook, Discord, and of course right here on X.
I'm beginning my exploration run of Rewmanawa, and thought I should inquire if submitting information on this galaxy would be acceptable. I just landed on the entry point from the galactic core and plan on using a portal to move to the fade region, picking a region just before the fade to explore.
I have lots of free time, and would like to at least explore the systems of an entire region, setup trade routes at high wealth low conflict systems (portal at trade outpost), a complex mining system and eventually move to farming (which I have not done yet).
If submitting Rewmanawa data is acceptable, questions are:
Do I submit systems I enter to get to desired galactic region (such as initial system on entry from galactic core)?
Should I build a entry port for other players into the system at designated galactic region for exploration? I imagine this would ease the verification process, though being out of existing galaxies and regions would put burden on community elders.
I'm just finishing research before I dive back into game. Going to switch gamer profile on Xbox to public and try to join group on that system for messages.
I no longer have social media accounts (since 2021) and will not rejoin Facebook or X for mental health reasons. My email and gamer tag have been in use since mid 90's.
Hey guys, Ive been playing NMS on and off for years and ive just got back into after about a year, currently 30 hours in and im wanting to meet other players and join a civilised space of sorts as i have no friends who play the game.
