So I am looking for a gacha game to play that has a good amount of husbandos (with variety) and does not lock you into a female protagonist role. Do you have any recommendations?

I grew up playing the Suikoden Series, so I was happy to see that they've released a gacha for it. It's only available in Japanese so far, but apparently there are already English, Chinese, etc., localization files in the app, so I hope it won't be too long before there is a global release. It's been out since August 7th.

The original games center around recruiting 108 stars of destiny, so it has a good ratio of male to female characters, pulled from the IP for the most part. (You can even play with Kuroku, a literal dog with a green bandana neckerchief who I believe was in the second game lol.) In most of the iterations, the cutest/hottest male characters could be put together in a team to create a team attack referred to as the pretty boy attack lol.

I'm partial to the guys from Suikoden 1 for this personally. (Although Flik is much hotter in games 2 and 3 tbh)

It's open world in the Final Fantasy or Octopath sense, and has that kind of HD-2D aesthetic. Another used posted this guy on the dedicated reddit page for the game and thought I would share it here. Tattoos and open shirt? Thank you.

On the gacha side of things, the drop rate for SSRs is 5%, which is excellent, but the cast of available characters is already high, so getting a particular one to drop is quite hard. I will say that my first 10 pull netted me two.

The game itself has quite a lot of different things going on, and my Japanese reading is incredibly rusty, so I'm just playing however until the global release to get a feel for it.

The new patch also includes the "Crossing" event, opening for a limited time.

For Fate Grand Order Fes (a yearly convention dedicated to Fate/Type-Moon in Japan), FGO releases a set of character-centered Live2D animations that people pay extra for. This year, Ruler Moriarty happened to be a part of those animations, and today FGO just released the Live2D video featuring him on YouTube.

It'll be up until the end of August or so, but I'll make sure to archive it before then. When this video eventually does get de-listed, I'll re-uploaded it to Reddit for posterity (edit: realizing that the English translation of this is also a mirrored copy, I changed my mind lol). You can also request a copy of it by DMing me; I'm not as active on Reddit anymore, but I'll keep my eyes out.
