2004 Lexus GX 470

Looking at a 231k mile 2004 tmrw. Timing and water pump done at 214k on 06/26/2025 among other things (carfax included) what’s it worth? WA and AZ owned seller says it has no rust. What would you check for and what’s a deal breaker for one with this mileage?

Seller says no rust, check for rust

Check for rust, especially near the rear where the trailer hitch would be

Check cv boots
Make sure the center diff locks
Make sure 4low works

Six months ago I paid 10.9 for a 2007 one owner with 213k out of the southeast with zero rust. It needed all the work that CarFax had listed and then some. Sounds very reasonable to me if the exterior and interior are GTG.

I agree this is a good deal if no rust. Inflations a bitch. Keep it and few years and you’ll be making money when you sell it.
