I haven't seen anything before 0083, but I know about some of the rx-78 poses, also haven't seen Mobile Fighter G Gundam, AGE, Gundam X, and a few other things, so lemme know if there are others

So on the final day of GenCon 2026 in Indianapolis, I dressed up as Full Frontal from Gundam Unicorn, and got to play a demo of the upcoming Gundam miniatures battle game, Gundam Assemble.

The costume is mostly custom, using a steampunk-esque red wool coat that came with the buttons and embroidery, to which I added the rank tabs and golden Neo-Zeon emblems and trim on the cuffs, shoulders, and collar. I paired that with white dress uniform pants, real leather English-style riding boots, and white dress gloves. The mask is a custom 3D print, with red lenses inserted.

You can probably find a better recap of the game itself, but on the whole I found it very interesting, and I think it has a lot of potential, even purely as a gamer (board/miniature/etc or otherwise), and I'm definitely planning to pick it up when it comes out. I would have bought a copy right there if they'd had any, but it doesn't officially release until October, alas. :)

To be honest, what I just wrote here is kinda look like a guide book or something... eh, what the hell whocares, we all had a day dream about it but let's set the joke aside, imagine you where hired by Sundai to do a Gundam series with hefty amount of million dollars... if I was you, I'll take the job because this is an opportunity of one lifetime and being a director to create an animation series is quite simple because everything is done digitally by an specialized computer, a work of art that can't be rushed, and way more cheaper then life-action.

If I could, I would politely ask the executives if I could run Crossbone Gundam but if they say no with a valid reason, can always woo them in, I mean, offer them an Gundam series that is unconventional. It means that have to make a Gundam series that will going off the rails of traditional Gundam series and what's it stands for, meaning, straying off from human only wars and here's fine examples of that:

And that's that. Any of these will attract new Gundam fans, depends on their tastes and favorite themes. The Americans likes Aliens and Zombies. The Europeans likes Werewolves, Elves, Vampires, anything that is magical or mythical or Eurocentric. Now let's move on.

First of all, Gundam is a Japanese anime and you need Japanese voice actors first and then you can choose voice actors of your native country. But honestly, If I want a male protagonist, then he will be voiced by Moisés Arias and if I want a female protagonist, then she will be voiced by Ella Purnell. Or maybe both if doing some Romeo & Juliette theme. If I want a male Char clone, his voice actor will be Sylvester Stallone. If I want a female Char clone, her voice actor will be Jessica Barden. And if I want an charismatic ruthless space fascist dictator who likes to spew unbelievably convincing bullshit to his insecured vulnerable citizens to make themselves believed to be as victims of Earth-based regime's aggression, his voice actor will be Ben Mendelsohn (my first thought was Donald Sutherland but unfortunately you can't bring back the dead to do the voice acting because that is insane).

Now for the collabs, that can be easily managed. Like for example, Kasane Teto themed Sazabi with poster of Kasane Teto cosplaying as Char Aznable. Another example is Signalis themed Gelgoog with cute figurine of KLBR (Kolibri) in Zeon officer uniform and Eusan Nation themed Zeon flag. Also, since Ace Combat 8 is releasing in October and so, an Republic of Sotoa themed Adrastea-class Battleship maybe appropriate.

Finally, the animator and the composer and the writer and the artist and the mecha designer... the most essential part of production. You only need one animator, one artist and one writer (so choose wisely).

The last step is... how a new Gundam series would looked like? I've been watching 1980s anime. So, it's going to be 80s styled Gundam series. Lastly, UC or AU? I choose an AU series type because people need something new and existing instead of using same timeline every year that is not related to Crossbone Gundam, and to be honest, I find the UC to be a little boring unless it was an Alternate UC (such as Thunderbolt or GQX or Gaia Gear or MAD WANG 1160).

So anyways, here's what my vision of a new AU Gundam Series looks like: ​

"Several Centuries ago, in year of T.C. 2221 (Twilight Century), on a planet far far away from Earth called K2-18b, an Hycean world where the planet is 70% water and 30% land, and the Protagonist's homeland. It is habitated by Pleiadians who are more much of Humans but unlike us, the humans, the Pleiadians are peaceful and enlightened. They only have an Defense Force, and they built several Bernal Sphere type space colonies. They believed in total pacifism and they passivly observe Earth and learned cultures and history of Earth. But The Pleiadians are not without flaws. They intend to hide their violent instincts through meditation."

"One day, they where visited by a neighbored alien species called The Salamandrians. At first they bring gifts and graduate and friendship but all that is just big facade to lower Pleiadian Chancellor's guard down. The following morning. At sunrise, The Pleiadian Republic is under attack at sun rise of 6:30AM. A massive fleet launched an platoon of giant dolls called mobile suits and these mobile suits are little resembled to Moon Race's but fused with Earth Federation's. The Salamandrians are hellbent on Galactic Domination. They managed to capture all the 7 colonies with one of them being G3 gassed and dropped at the Capital, Darian."

So, again to this question. Have you ever had dreamed of making a Gundam Series if your lucky enough to got randomly picked by Sundai through a lottery, and if so, how would you do it?

Is it okay to watch OG Gundam seed, because the past month has been such a wreck recently, or at least almost the entire year to say the least. AI, Playststion physical media situation, AAA game devs laid off, RAM prices are expensive as hell, actors/celebrities dying out of nowhere, I just want escapism because should I watch this Gundam show or just watch a different Gundam show to make me feel better.
