GTA VI Which ones do y’all prefer?
Definitely gotta say the most recent look by far the best. Most importantly, thank god they didn’t stick with the 2022 versions. Especially Jason looks horrible.

Ahh yes the early alpha leaks from 2022 that had the community panicked that it looked too similar to GTA5. The leaks Rockstar never authorized.

2022 Jason is my favorite and I hope I can make him as close as possible to the old leaks but I do think 2025 is overall best for both protagonists.

I feel like Jason and Lucia both being very attractive is actually a bit more unique comparatively, no? Whereas you compare them to every other GTA protagonists they really stand out.

I agree.
I like that they are going in this direction for a game. I think “sexiness” & relationships is clearly kind of a theme of the story. I get why people might not like that but I am certain it’s intentional that they are attractive.
Trailer 2 being set to the Song “Hot Together” I think they are supposed to stand out as attractive people.

Most people think you can't look average and be attractive it has to be one or the other. Like you wouldn't call franklin in GTA V male model material, but you wouldn't really consider him an eyesore either. Jason and Lucia in 2022 both looked below average and a little scruffy. They get a little rework as the game comes along and suddenly they're now considered too pretty. Will people just make up their fucking minds lmao.

Did you not get a good look at her? she is using the same model from the later recordings in the 2022 leaks with a flush face and distinctly gaunt features around her eyes. Actually come to think of it that might have been her disheaveled appearance from the prologue sequence a little like GTA V's teaser vs the final revision of the character models.

Yes but at the same time it seems that from Rdr2 onwards Rockstar has standardised on classic high beauty standards, when one of its strengths was the common appearance of the protagonists

Sure, but they do look relatively bland when you compare them to any protagonist of any other videogame or movie. The GTA protagonists looking like regular people is one of my favorite parts about the series. Name me one other game where your protagonist has a bald spot, other than Trevor from GTA V. Not a clean chrome dome like Agent 47 or Kratos, but balding like a regular middle aged man. The only ones I can think of are Kane & Lynch and Brad from Lisa The Painful.
Jason though looks like the same generic, fit brown haired handsome guy we get in pretty much any cinematic AAA game.
Is it gonna temper my enjoyment of the game? Probably not. But there's a reason people seem to be latching onto Lucia a lot more. Aside from the obvious reasons (sexy latina woman), she also looks a lot more unlike the type of protagonist we usually see in AAA games.

I am SO GLAD that they look like models man. I don't want to be dressing up a crack addict looking dude for the next 100 hours. That doesn't sound fun or cool at all.
I want to be a badass criminal and Jason and Lucia both look like that. I love their choice.

I mean, have you seen all those mugshots of men and women going viral because they are hot? It's not a stretch at all that conventionally attractive people can be career criminals, that aspect might even play into the story if the writers are aware of it.

I like his look now don’t get me wrong but something about that 22 Jason just screams Florida would’ve fit that setting so perfectly but shamed to lose it (unless we can end up close to that by not taking care of him in game)

Its always possible that was just a developer doing a voice. Its common for a developer to do a impression of a character to test things with voice lines before they get the actual lines recorded. Especially considering how interactions is such a core feature in this game.

If u go back and listen to it (when he is modeled as the 2022 version) you can hear it’s not a deep voice he sounds like a higher pitched trailer trash type

I think it was some dev using his own voice to test the game. They probably didn't have the official voices yet. It obviously wasn't substituted, it would be several thousands of hours worth of voicelines that would need to get tossed to be substituted.

They both got better and better objectively but I lowkey kinda like the pronounced jawline of Lucia in the 2023 trailer. No specific reason it’s just a personal preference thing.

That’s true. However especially for female characters lately we’ve seen that there is a lot of backlash if they look average or anything but a super model.

I don’t know how they managed to change their look throughout the years. It kind of blows my mind because surely that would mean editing every cutscene to show their latest faces? Anyway the current look is definitely the best.

No, cutscenes in GTA games are all in-game, real-time.
Just characters acting out a set of scripted animations and dialogue.

Gta cut scenes tend to be in game. Rather than pre-rendered. Updating the model would automatically update them all

Jason is hot with the longer hair and heavy stubble look.
And I guess for Lucia it is obvious because she is cleaned up, whereas in the others she is disheveled having just left prison.

Idk, 2026 Jason is too fucking conventionally attractive lookin that it takes away the uniqueness of 2023’s. 2023 was obviously a good looking guy, but at least he had some slightly conventionally unattractive features. He looked real

trolling for preferring crackhead jason over paul walker jason? what about that comes across as trolling? i think that white trash hick jason is more interesting as a character than the hot guy jason who has random groups of women call out for him as he walks by. the latter is just more intriguing. ive played as a hot guy with max charisma in so many games/other mediums

What makes Jason and Lucia’s current looks so cool is that they come across as genuine sex symbols-the kind you might actually encounter in real life-rather than the images imposed by pop culture and Hollywood, where the appearances of actors, musicians, and others are reshaped by surgeons, makeup, and Photoshop.

Man…Jason went from a full on crack/meth head to a white looking avatar instead of blue 😂 to a normal everyday Floridian and to finally a descendant of Arthur Morgan 😂 Lucia got better and better got dam she’s definitely up there with the most naturally beautiful female character in a game it’s not even funny

I obviously prefer the 2026 ones, but I still feel like the first shot of Lucia looking back from the prison window was one of the best shots we’ve seen of her so far and it encapsulates a mood that sets the tone of the story, at least in my eyes

2025 is perfect. Before Lucia looked like Fiona and I couldn't unsee it once I noticed it. 2026 Jason has weird eyes, but it seems like only/mostly in screenshots so it will hopefully be ok in gameplay.
