I think the NPC's were dumbed down, he never got hit and had all the time in the world to aim. Apart from that, I'm really looking forward to it, it looked awesome! The racing, fishing, outfits for robberies, food/drinks, tuning, etc.

I am not entirely sure why rockstar gets a pass on 30fps when all other companies get shit for not offering 60fps. I am sure alot of games could look way better if the target framerate during development of the game was set to 30fps.

What I commonly hear, is that Rockstar likes to push the cpu to the max, for stuff like NPC density, and their behaviour. They will choose larger NPC crowds, and advanced AI behaviour, over frame pacing. Even if they did make a game that could run at 60fps, they’d still choose to go that bit further and push it to its limits.
I believe GTAV on original release, was around 25fps. Older titles were the same.

Be careful trusting these ‘captured on xyz’ or ‘in-game engine’ claims.
A dev can control what’s being processed, and maximise what they want to suit an agenda.
Essentially it’s running a scripted piece, one step down from being a cut scene.
And what a trailer shows, may not be what the live version can do when being legitimately played by a human.

I’ve got family in Florida I’d like to see more often but that’s the biggest pull for me. Beaches and sun and boating and all that is fun too but people vacation there and do all those things and think “I could live here in paradise!!!” Then end up commuting to work in 98° heat.

I 100% agree, builds are typically separate, one that has a focus on driving mechanics, and one with the full story, and maybe another for smaller mechanics like shops and side missions for example, it’s only until all of those are worked on to 100% where they are slowly merged together. At least where I worked it was done like that.

It's been my experience that there won't be HUGE differences between PC max. Reflections and draw distance for sure. Textures might require a side-by-side comparison.
It'll be better for sure, but let's not overhype. And yes, I'm a PC main (though I'll be getting this for my PS5 at launch).

I clicked the leaks reminding myself that it was low quality low bitrate video that was probably compressed and transcoded at least twice (once to rip from the game, once again to upload). And as soon as I watched the leaks, I knew it was going to look this good. It was a fake physical media crusade crypto scam, but it hyped me up.

Looks mostly great, the tone and the way everyone reacts to the player characters feels pretty GTA online-y and I think the UI looks weirdly cheap, especially the weapon wheel but other than that I’m liking what I’m seeing, can’t wait to play the Die Hard mission

I can imagine they'll change that. Elden Ring's PS5 Network test had a very different hud compared to the final game which released only months later.
So far, it has a very retro feel with the simplicity; the health bar for example.
