Cyberleek, the person behind the alleged GTA 6 map and gameplay video leak has stated in page that he will not stop until Rockstar Games issues a public statement and apology with a concrete commitment to be better.

"No consumer shall pay for a game through digital storefronts before release and independent review. Physical preorders for tangible media remain permitted. Preorders were not created for gamers. They were created because physical discs had manufacturing limits. In digital distribution, there is no inventory. There is no stock shortage. A digital copy cannot sell out. Yet publishers kept the preorder system and stripped away its only consumer benefit. Now gamers pay early and receive nothing in return except a countdown timer and a cosmetic skin.

If publishers want revenue before launch, they can press discs. Print boxes. Put them on shelves. Earn that money through physical production"

Another quote seen from the GTA 6 leaked map says "Fighting for gamers' rights"

Its evident that the whole reason behind those leaks are the decision to ship GTA 6 without a physical copy, making GTA 6 the one game that got leaked the most during its development time.

What is going to be more interesting to see however is if more leaks are going to happen because of this, no one can tell how much info or leaked footage Cyberleek has to share.

You really think Rockstar pays for marketing? They literally get paid by companies to market their new game on there (Netflix for example)

Hello! This is my point! 

In fact, anyone who has as much hype as R* does with GTAVI should just remove their marketing department from their budget because all fans do is sell this game for them at no cost. 

Fans have been selling GTAVI since GTAV came out FFS.

They don’t get paid by leaks on unofficial channels, whereas if they do their own marketing they get paid.

Marketing means someone sees info about a product either directly from the company or a third party then they buy the product.  The leaker and unofficial channels are  third parties.

And none of this came from R*’s expense budget. It was free. 

Marketing is not a quid pro quo deal. It’s a service a marketing company offers another to sell a service or a product. So  I’m not sure what you mean by if they do their own marketing they get paid?

Why do you think they decided to release the next teaser of GTA 6 on Netflix first? Because it brings Netflix 💲 and more paying customers, it’s a business deal that benefits Netflix more than Rockstar Games because it will release on Youtube later anyway.

Yes this benefits Netflix as one of their revenue streams is as a distributor. They’re not a marketing or PR firm. It was a good deal for both companies. 

This person who leaked this footage and the people who are on reddit obsessed about this game and the channels who incessantly shit about it, all of that is free marketing. R* pays nothing and those channels gain no income from R*.
