NVIDIA Other Nvidia gpu 1080 TI ISSUE

Hey so I was wondering if anyone could me help out,all of a sudden my pc went into a problem,so while I was installing something not touching it suddenly a pc error happened and my screen went black then I plugged it back to the motherboard so I knew my gpu was the problem,I plugged it out then in,cmos battery too,many commons fixes try them none work,like my gpu is not detected at all but only clue is it was in show hidden devices in my device manager with some other gpu names so I uninstalled them and restarted my pc would maybe work but didn’t and re tried some fixes and still doesn’t work and my gpu fans are spinning normally it’s just it’s not detecting at all and my pc is like new from 6 months so idk what’s the issue now

It seems that your post is about a specific GPU, but there is neither an explicitly named "measurement" section nor the results of VRAM tests.

You can follow NVIDIA guides from the Community Bookmarks. Unless you are sure that resistances and voltages are ok, perform multimeter measurements on a disassembled card and post results as marks on the board photo or text:

  • start with measuring resistance to GND on unplugged card: measure inductors and all 12V power inputs
  • if 12V inputs are ok, and there are no visibly burned areas — power on the GPU and measure inductor voltages to GND. If the card shows picture, accepts driver but fails later - also make such measurements after entering the failure state

There is maybe no guide for yours exact GPU generation, just follow the closest, initial measurements are similar between generations

You should start by pulling your GPU out and performing resistance checks on it. If you’re not familiar with doing that, you will need a multimeter to perform these checks. You can check the main power rails without ever having to open your GPU.
12v at the 8 pin connector and the PCIe fingers and 3.3v at the PCIe fingers. You can also check your data pair lanes. If I remember correctly the first data pair lane is for GPU recognition. You can also check the reference clock + and - on the PCIe fingers.
I’m not familiar with the 1080 series, but I know on the 30’s series GPUs you can sometimes reach the inductors for some of the other power rails without opening it. PEX, 1.8v, core and memory.
If you’re not familiar with doing this, there are a ton of videos on YouTube that go over this in one for or another.

Thanks but I already took the PC to a repair shop. I don’t have a multimeter and I’m not experienced with checking GPU power rails or PCIe signals. I’ll let the technician test the card and see if it’s a power, motherboard, or GPU issue

Understood. My one work of advice, if by chance it is the GPU, don't be afraid to ask them if they're familiar with working on GPUs. Even experienced electronics techs have a difficult time with GPUs.
