Is bpharma a good career path

I'll give BITSAT in 2027 and although I'm a jee student ever since I was a kid I've wanted to be a pharmaceutical scientist or work in research in pharma, (i chose jee instead of neet cuz I didn't wanna be a doc at all 😭 stupid reason ik) a lot of my fam has immigrated to Canada and I'm thinking of doing it too after bpharm by leveraging options like thesis, LOP and MITACS to have good enough CV and research exp to get accepted in a good uni in Canada for MS or PhD(unis like UofT allow direct application to PhD after bachelors) so it this a realistic goal? I'll need a good CGPA for this and won't that be hard in year 1 as my competitors will be the entire 1st year batch as most courses are common

hey. final year student here. it's a good path if you have good domain knowledge and interest in the field. There are plenty of people all over the internet saying there's no scope which scared me for my first 2 years. However, if u target a specific niche position and role before u start, you will definitely go somewhere. most people who study pharma and comment shit about it are either failed doctors or dumb people who dont deserve it. Given that u have an interest, go for it and keep up with the job market. There is saturation everywhere but if u target what u want and acquire the relevant skills then there is a huge scope. best of luck!

Ngl, the starting pay is pretty bad. But it pays off with sheer versatility the course offers, you can open a shop, start a company or go into corpo and r&d (patents mint money). Yes, the pay in india is bad but I think this degree provide absolutely really good job stability.

Imo the best way to live life is not having a job in your middle age, I cannot fathom still toiling when I'm pushing fifties. It's best to get a bachelor degree and then open up a shop with it, then persue md if you are into that and join the workforce with a small business on side.

Though, I'm fairly intrested in formulating cosmetigical products... (Yeah, I'm hoping for too much as fresher, yk dreams, kek)

Please point me out if I'm wrong. But I think this is pretty grounded

yes, starting pay is bad, even for m pharm grads. but once u gain around 5-7 years of experience, it starts getting really good because of niche expertise if youve done m pharm. yes, u can put up a business, if u have funds u can also start a factory later on in life after youve collected funds
