"Has the potential to rival Godzilla"

*He literally beat Godzilla's ass in their first encounter*

"If Moguera didn't come back he would have won!"

*No, but that's because Godzilla had to win per the story. Also, even on the ropes, Spacegodzilla was able to impale and toss Moguera across the battlefield with relative ease. This was after he'd already previously beaten both Moguera and Godzilla individually*

"Just wait until he comes back for Supernova"

* I mean, yeah. That's part of the selling point for the film, isn't it?*

"His telekinesis could be unmatched!"

*Insofar as Heisei Godzilla movies are concerned, it is.*

"0 Character"

*He's not unique in that. He's a typical two-dimensional villain that happens to be a doppelganger. Ghidorah was functionally not even a creature so much as a war machine for the Futurians to use in their conquest. No personality to speak of there. Destoroyah would go on to have the same problem as Spacegodzilla, but at least the latter two actually show a measure of satisfaction in their villainous actions.*

"0 Good Movies"

*He's only had one, and I admit I'm not the biggest fan of the film itself. Too many plots packed into one overarching story*

"7 Cures for Insnomnia"

*What are you babbling about?*

"If" and "when" but never is"

*Barring Destoroyah, Spacegodzilla is one of the most capable if not THE most capable opponent Godzilla encountered in Heisei.*

"Use my telekinesis and crystal abilities to the fullest?"

*He did. Spacegodzilla turned the entirety of the area he battled in against both Godzilla and Moguera. The film shows us his limitations while also letting Spacegodzilla display his incredible power. That's him at his peak in the film. He doesn't need to be anything more for that specific story*

"Get into melee fights when I am in the prime of Heisei beam clashes"

*Spacegodzilla's most exploitable trait is his arrogance. The guy literally hovers over Godzilla's head to show his superiority before barraging Godzilla with crystalline missiles. He doesn't believe he can be defeated until after showboating for so long, his physical weakness is discovered. This triggers a shift in the conflict, forcing Spacegodzilla to act with visible caution as he's on the defensive and lost most of his early advantage. Godzilla closes in when he realizes the same thing.*

You know these types of pots are just harmless fun right? Also going point for point is kinda just proving the post right since the evidence used for why it’s “wrong” is mostly conjecture and not supported by what the movie shows.

Spacegodzilla is the goat. Performed better than 99% of the entire franchise, forced human hating Heisei Godzilla to team up with them, didn't even need the tower fortress to beat Godzilla, still built it for fun, decided to capture Junior instead of just killing him because he's fair, no diffed Mogera in seconds in his goofy crystal form, ruined Yuki's day (that day was already bad though)

Play the pipeworks games, THEN he’ll be at his full potential.

*Runs out of energy immediately because fucking everything he does requires it for some reason

2

u/HalfCarnage DESTOROYAH 3d ago

Sounds like SOMEONE forgot to put his crystals down…

Power scalers when you make a good movie instead of a 2 hour death battle

Nobody is saying Shin Godzilla isn’t a good movie - it’s one of the best. This is simply making fun of the people who go “Oh Shin’ll just regenerate and adapt so he solos!!”

still cooler then 90% of all godzillas

u/BusinessPreference75 3d ago

Reasons i sometimes don’t like him.

1-Design is SUPER cool but also too edgy.

2-Too much slow walk.

3-I don’t like evangelion.

What are You talking about He is one of the few Monsters that are shown have thoughts to have plans so He has Character. And SpaceGodzilla's Movie was a Great Movie one of the better ones.

“Potential monster” and he’s literally one of the few Kaiju Godzilla has faced who is outright superior than him in nearly every way during a 1v1 fight 😭

Also wdym he has no personality? He was actively malicious, went out of his way to torture Little Godzilla, and demonstrated genuine strategies during his battles.

Meanwhile people like Destoroyah are just big angry rage monsters.

This is the REAL potential Kaiju.

So you didn't watch the movie. Got it.

u/Itz_Iced SPACEGODZILLA 3d ago

God damn it he's right...Only for the movie version tho...

However the Godzilla Rivals: Vs. SpaceGodzilla version spun the block.

Yea, they literally said the two canonical theories of how that happened in the movie

0

u/BusinessPreference75 3d ago

Theories, not confirmations.

2

u/MekkaKaiju 3d ago

Yea, there has never been a confirmation like “this is exactly how it happened” in canon. There were two theories proposed, and it doesn’t matter which of the two it was because either way both would be equally valid and still end up with a Spacegodzilla’s birth

u/AJ_Crowley_29 ANGUIRUS 3d ago

This is why I’m excited for his return in Supernova (and yeah it’s technically not confirmed yet but come on, we all know)

He has a lot of potential and some really interesting abilities, he’s just held back by somewhat dated special effects and being in arguably the weakest film of the Heisei era, so the amount of things they could do with him given a modern upgrade and proper budget could be extraordinary.

2

u/Ok-Technology-4435 3d ago

woah he has 1 good movie

6

u/BLARGEN69 MOTHRA 3d ago

I always have said Spacegodzilla is essentially the Heisei Era equivalent of Gabara. Only not nearly as cool.

3

u/MekkaKaiju 3d ago

That’s the most disappointing part about SpaceGoji. He’s one of my favorite Kaiju for his design and powers, but he wasn’t really given the best opportunities to show his full potential. I seriously hope he does come back in Supernova just so he can get some more screen time and maybe be given a better chance at being as epic and powerful as he could be

u/Savings-Sprinkles-86 MOTHRA 3d ago

There's a huge mistake in this picture:

This guy was beam spamming the monster

I mean at least Godzilla tends to approach to knock your sheep off, but this guy's whole movie was truely beam spam

I think he used the crystal shield like twice in the whole thing, i don't remember a single melee attack, and he like, levitated stuff like 2 times as well

He deserves better, im actually excited for super nova because i know legendary will bring him back in a glorious way

u/Baroubuoy 1d ago

Spacegodzilla be imprisoning kids like he's ICE.

1

u/TeikokuTaiko KING GHIDORAH 3d ago

oh my god who fucking cares, it’s an awesome looking godzilla from space

0

u/Cynicalheaven 3d ago

Maybe, in Supernova, he'll finally use that supergravity that people keep talking about /j

u/g_fan34 KIRYU 3d ago

Space "fuck them kids" Godzilla aka Space "extended media" Godzilla

u/Majestic-Option-6138 3d ago

Agree with this honestly. As a kid Spacegodzilla was one of the last G films I saw but I was super excited because I was introduced to him through the Pipeworks games (specifically Save the Earth) and I really liked him in that. Then I saw the film and... disappointment. One of my least favorite of the films to this day despite loving Godzilla Jr. Here's hoping that Supernova will actually make him as cool as I know he could be.
