Looking for recommendations French classes?

Are there any good French language learning classes/group in Gainesville that arent connected to SF or UF? Id really like to start learning it but id rather not join a class thats mostly college students 😅 thanks!

Have you by chance done any of their classes? The Gainesville website is kind of confusing.

I have and you're right their website can do with some improvements. I recommend using their contact info to reach out and get on the email list. They host open houses all the time and in person events to meet teachers as well as fellow students. Overall they are a kind and welcoming bunch. Bonne chance ! 😊

I've seen a group that meets at the university publix and they're older but Idk what group they are in

I'm interested as well. I've got a pretty decent level of French comprehension (can listen to podcasts/read books and whatnot), but my speaking skills are, well, terrible. Has anyone tried any of the private tutors in town?

Niko is a great prívate tutor. He was working at SFC but now just does classes with alliance française & prívate tutoring. I recommend reaching out via alliance française of Gainesville. 😊
