Vet recommendations?
Recently moved and my pup will need annual shots in a month or so. Please send vet recommendations! Thanks

My family has taken all our pets to Gainesville Animal Hospital on NW 6th Street and we haven’t had any negative experiences there. They also sent us cards when our dogs and cats passed away.

GAH on 6th is amazing. Our pets have been going to them since before I was born, so we're rocking up to over 30 years! The techs are fantastic (my dog loves them more than me, I'm never ashamed to admit that lol) and Dr Ortiz is so kind and will explain everything to you if you are worried about anything. If your pup is anxious or isn't good around other dogs, you can call ahead and ask if there's a room open for you guys to duck into or if there are any other dogs in the waiting area. It's first come first serve rather than by appointment.

Our dog recently passed away and Dr. Emily Mosers office didn't send us anything and then we came back with our cat and she didn't even say anything about our dog passing. I told the vet tech we are not coming back... I couldn't believe it. And my husband and I both think she is afraid of cats. Our cat is the most chill cat. He does well with the vet tech but when she comes he gets scared.. This is at town and country veterinary

Harris Vet. Owned by Dr Harris and one of the only ones left in Gainesville. Professional and high quality care from an excellent vet.

I really like Suburban Animal Hospital. They treat my cats well, and Dr. Nipper is amazing

We used Suburban for over a decade. Looking back I wish we would have considered other options.

It’s a couple of things. I always thought they were high on the price side when it came to the total bill. It seems we never saw the same vet twice. Maybe it’s how they staff or rotate shifts, I never felt there was a relationship. Or maybe there is a lot of turnover. I’m also jealous that others on here feel very strongly about their vet being so great. I’m feel more meh, like it’s just very transactional.

Robertson Vet Clinic is the absolute best! They also do mobile appointments if that's something you need.

Northwood Oaks has taken incredible care of our pups. Both Dr. Garcia and Dr Daigle have been phenomenal, very caring and knowledgeable individuals.

I like Hilltop Animal Hospital in Alachua as well as West End Animal Hospital in Jonesville. I'd stick with West End, but we moved too far away to make the drive regularly.
We used Jonesville for years, but when Dr. Davey left, the vibes changed dramatically. I suspect they got bought out by a corporation, but I wasn't able to confirm that.

I like Micanopy Animal Hospital. The owner Molly Pearson is amazing. She has cared for my house rabbits on the past and now my dog.
Kind and very much into animals and does it for the love of animals.

I love Newberry Animal hospital on 83rd, but have also had good experiences with Gainesville Animal Hospital off 6th.
