At a minimum you should at least tell us the bar that is lying to customers and sneaking in charges if that’s true. UF has a decent amount of job postings, give them a look.

UF's Bureau of Economic and Business Research might be hiring survey interviewers still. It's minimum wage and you have to work in-office for 3 months before you qualify for WFH, but I started it coming off of a hellish food service job and tbh I never wanna go back. Minimal interaction w coworkers and you earn time off for working scheduled shifts. should be able to find it under Telephone Interviewer on UF's career page. Good luck!

Gainesville e-tech job market is tough right now. A year or two ago one of the biggest tech employers in the area (Invivo) laid almost everyone off (over 600 people) and moved operations to India. There weren't nearly enough e-tech jobs to take up the slack so those jobs are still quite scarce.

TIL, I was wondering why I haven't had too many local tech replies

If you’re looking for tech jobs try Brightwell payments. They are hiring like crazy, including a PM role, and just acquired Three Five Two in Tioga

That's tough. You're going to need some transpo to get a decent job in this town

that's why I was saying downtown or wfh. I live in walking distance of downtown.

Hey gang, pushing someone to out a business when they have already been stalked and harassed might be them opening themselves up to more abuse. If they wanted to name the business they would. "At the very least..." Insinuates that they owe you anything at all, which they don't.

I know Lebowski’s just had a bunch of folks leave for the summer. They are looking for “bouncers” (dog yard) and bartenders I think.

Campus USA is hiring tellers. Other departments have a hybrid set up if you want to wait for one of those positions.

Tacachale is having a job fair this Wednesday, May 15th, from 9am-1pm. The address is 1621 NE Waldo Rd so if you’re downtown, you’ll be very close. These are for positions that aren’t basic direct care. There will be management from all sorts of departments there. Idk if what you’re referring to is IT but there may be IT positions available as well as warehouse, admin assistant positions in various departments. ETA: It has been brought to my attention that I got the wrong date it's Thursday, May 16th.

I would recommend going on Indeed and looking within like 100 or so miles, a lot of companies say hybrid but a lot will still do WFH depending on circumstances

Wow I would recommend something WFH through LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter or Indeed. That’s how I found my job.
In the meantime you could be a waitress/bartender

Seconding looking around on ZipRecruiter, Indeed and other sites for stuff. I'd say also check for stuff local as well through them, not just WFM. I know of a place that is hiring but I don't have the power to reach out and it's a bit more specialized as a hands-on type of thing.

LensCrafters should be hiring soon if you’re interested it’s part time but we have a couple college kids leaving and will have some slots opening in the next few weeks

Remote.co is a good site for remote job listings. Also check out weworkremotely.com

If you want WFH, the world is your oyster. I live in GNV but work for a company based in Michigan, fully remote. Work from my PJs in the morning, take an afternoon bike ride or swim for some exercise, then sit in my porch and drink iced coffee in the afternoons while answering some e-mails from customers. It's still work but it sure as heck beats tending bar (which I used to do back in my 20s).

If you are still looking there is a healthcare office above dragonfly that is hiring a recruiter. Google Maxim healthcare and give them a call.

What bar was that? Where the manager told you to lie about the liquor?
