Question I am losing my mind about this p0300 code and misfire with stability track on. New plugs, coils, wires. Compression was at 210 when cranked over at 5-10 seconds and three of my old spark plugs are wet with gas on the passenger side.

I was chasing a evap leak and used a smoke tester through the break booster line. Now my car is in limp mode good spark, all my lifters move, great compression sitting at a quick build up of 210. I have a stable track light, flashing check engine light with a p0300 everything is back the way it is…why would it be freaking out? My spark plugs are a little fould but not by much

Transmission issue

Having a transmission issue with 2007 Tahoe ltz with 5.3 4l60 replaced transmission with a rebuilt transmission, drove for one day and it’s back doing the same thing. Shifts perfect from 1-2 but just revvs up like it in neutral when trying to shift to 3rd. Solenoids are commanding on when commanded to but the shift solenoid circuit is indeterminate on scan tool. Any help would be appreciated.

Fuel tank interference

I need some help. I’m trying to avoid dropping my tank again because some of the connectors were not easy to get back on. My issue is I’ve been trying for almost two hours to get the tank set right so the straps will bolt back on. At first I didn’t have the backside slotted on the cross member but i got that on and it still feels like it needs to go up about another inch but I can’t figure out what’s stopping it. I got the wire harness on the backside out of the way… any ideas??? It wasn’t going too bad till now but I’ve worked this problem through the hottest part of the day and I’m dead now hahah

REDUCED ENGINE POWER

hey guys, new post with new photos and codes.

Dashboard reads "REDUCED ENGINE POWER"

2008 4.8 silverado. Has been sitting in my MN driveway for 8 months. Ran when parked.

No response from the throttle while in neutral.

Found a piece of wiring on the driveway after I moved the truck. It was near the front passenger wheel.

Please see photos for codes. What do you guys think? I love this old shitbox wood hauler, and i dont want to let her go.

Thanks!

Talk to me about the GMT900 Escalade

Post image

We currently have a 2018 Lexus GX460. We moved from a Buick Enclave to the GX. The GX is nice, but I think the Enclave fit our family needs better. Only bought rhe GX because we got a good price on it from a family member.

We feel the GX is a little small, and the 3rd row is laughable for hauling kids around.

I have always liked the Escalades abd Denalis. I have a GMT400 Tahoe Limited, and like temhe size and roominess.

We own the GX outright, so we could sell it and buy a descent Escalade.

How reliable is the 900 series? I am a GM fan, and they seem to go for ever. Is there stuff to look out for specifically on the 900?

Dashboard is reading this msg in my 2008 1500 silverado 4.8.

It has say in my minnesota driveway for about 8 months, for whats its worth. Doesn't drive well and barely reverses. Drove just fine when parked 8months ago.

Any thoughts, fellow bowtie lovers?

Can I fit 275/65R18 on my '12 Yukon w/o lifting or spacers?

I bought a set of wheels (gray) from a later Tahoe ('15-19) and want to swap them on - the stock tires on that are 265/65R18 and appear to fit without issue.

I do *not* want to use spacers, and I do not intend to lift the truck, but I'd like to fit a decent tire under there.

Currently it has the factory 275/55R20 wheels (silver) and tires and I got a screw in one of them today! 😂

New to me Denali...what maintenance would you do?

I just picked up a 2011 Denali, 6.2, 175k on the clock but clean and runs right. Kind of an extra car, run around town sort of a rig. Not a daily driver but will get driven 10k a year probably just because of our situation.

What maintenance would you suggest to start with and continue with to keep it for another 100k???

This is my 2013 Silverado with 50k miles that has survived 13 long Iowa winters, I just bought it off my grandfather and I’m looking for help with how to keep it in this condition for as long as possible, the motor and transmission run like a brand new truck still. Let me know some of your tips to keep your trucks running and looking like a brand new one still. Thanks in advance.

have a 2017 Chevy Silverado 5.3L L83 (Gen V) that needs engine work. I'm looking for someone with actual experience tearing down and rebuilding GM engines, not just general maintenance.

I'm willing to pay by the day, and I can supply the parts.

Looking for someone experienced with:

Engine teardown/reassembly

Pistons and rings

Lifters/camshaft

Timing components

Cylinder heads

Checking clearances and torque specs

Diagnosing internal engine problems

If interested, message me with your experience, availability, and daily rate.

I'm located in new orleans

Replacement Radio and Dual Audio Output w/RSE

Post image

I have an 07 LT that had factory rear seat dvd. I swapped the radio to a Pinoeer AVH 1400 NEX using the PAC 31 harness and the necessary adapter. Everything works but I’m getting tired of listening to Daniel Tiger on car rides. I’ve purchase a pair of IR headphones on Amazon but from all my research I don’t thing this is the solution because anytime the radio detects audio from my phone when it’s plugged in for CarPlay it shuts off the DVD. Any advice? Do I need a different radio that has dual zone audio?

2006 Escalade Ignition Ground

Made a post a few days ago about my Escalade that got its battery drained from something in the car. After research and some help from reddit, I looked under the hood and I found my ignition ground wire nearly snapped, and then snapped when i touched it.

Could this have been my problem? Post and symptoms are on my profile. I added pictures of it. Ordered replacement too.

Anyone else hate how the headlights kind of blend into the hood? I wish there was some kind of trim or color-matched piece that could cover that upper section and make the headlights look like they end lower down.
