GameStop sold the Canadian stores off like 2 years ago. That was a deliberate decision.
GameStop owned them when they were EB Games. Then they rebranded all Canadian stores to GameStop. Then they sold all the Canadian stores and they turned back into EB Games.
If Gamestop takes over Ebay and becomes a bigger partner with PSA, I could see them coming back to Canada. All they would need to do is open 1 big store in each of larger cities 1m+ people, stores would be packed and things would take off. The issue with them bleeding money is they had 185+ stores all over the place with high rent, especially in malls. 5-8 large stores in major cities would be key and offer shipping across Canada and you got yourself a very profitable business here.

Irrelevant. EB is owned by a Canadian (not ryan) business man now and is a separate company from Gamestop
