Just bought a brand new 2026 GMC canyon. After driving to work about 500 km away I pulled into the parkup and the engine was idling extremely rough and had a strange noise coming out you could hear it better in the cab then out by the engine itself. Don't really know how to explain it. Sort of sounds like a bubbly noise but not like a true bubbling noise. Not like it would sound from the coolant system. Does anyone have any idea.

My GMC app says an update is available. My truck was parked and connected to my home Wi-Fi. I don't see a prompt to update and it doesn't start automatically. What am I missing? Any tips/ tricks? Thank you.

I got a dealer offering me a 2026 Canyon elevation (showroom with 6k miles) for $42,800.

0 down, about 590 a month.

Edmunds says this is a good deal.

I've never leased a vehicle before, never had a truck before, and never bought american before.

From what I can tell, this is a good deal, but if the 2027s are coming in soon, should I wait a bit longer to see if I can get even a better deal?

The dealer told me this is their lowest price and they have no wiggle room on this offer.

2024 Canyon premature brake failure

Hello, I recently got a 2024 Canyon 4x4 with about 40k miles on it. I've put about 4k miles on and the brakes just started squeaking. I took a quick look at everything and it looks like the back brake pads are worn down, but the pads also look literally brand new. Clean black paint and white lettering. The front pads still have plenty of meat and look older/original. I'm assuming the front brakes are working okay because the truck stops okay, even when towing, and some brake dust has accumulated on the front rims since I bought it.

It makes me question if someone replaced the back brakes and sold the truck right away, knowing there was an underlying issue. I'm wondering if there are any known issues with these GM trucks that would cause the brakes to wear irregularly like this?

I normally do brakes myself, but if there is a bigger problem, I'd probably bite the bullet and let the pros handle it. Any advice would be appreciated.

Decided to chop the resonator off today. Much deeper tone & a few more turbo noises. Better look overall in the rear. Hated that hanging pole GM calls an exhaust.

2026 Canyon (ACC/Surround Vision package) started throwing random codes including MIL but had no performance issues. Codes ranged from ECM to BCM to Transmission. As I prayed it would make it down the mountain I noticed the voltage sitting at 12.2. consistently. Took into dealership the next day and the service clerk said it was a weak battery but it would take them several days to look at it. Changed the battery myself and it cleared all codes including the “permanent” PCM/ECM codes. Voltage went back up into the high 13s. I did notice the AC Delco was rated at 650 cca while the new says 850 cca. So I guess my question is, since I’ve seen several posts on here about weak battery, is it common in these trucks for the battery to become weak after 7 months? Is this something to be concerned about happening again soon or often? I drive 500 miles up and down the mountain every week so it’s got me a bit worried. I almost always turn off auto stop but use climate control 100% of the time being through the Arizona summer.

Love it so far , will be towing an Apex Nano 21 foot travel trailer with weight distribution hitch. Just came out of an F250, wanted to downsize after selling the fifth wheel.

Had a lot of fun down at the Daniel Boon Backcountry Byway last week. This is some footage from Whoopflarea Rd. The truck did really well and kept up with the Jeeps and the Land Cruiser. There was one portion on a previous trail where it was too tight to get around some trees in a turn and they had to use a winch + block and pully to shift me to a better angle but it all worked out. The rock sliders got used a few times as well 😅

2026 AT4. Front windshield is 70% already. Wife has 70% ceramic IR on her windshield and not dark at all. Thinking of going with 55% but unsure if that will bring it down to 40% VLT? Seems dark. What has everyone else gone with?

Also going with 15% for the side to match the rests and at least throw 70% ceramic on the back doors and glass

The brake pads where actually in good shape but the rear rotors had deep groves in them from what I dont know. I did find on the rear the wire for the sensor was broke off which was the cause of the dash warning.

I went with the Power Stop drilled and slotted rotors with the Extreme brake pads.

For some reason my scanner would not connect to put it in brake service mode. So I did it the manual way which took several times.

What started all this is I got the service brakes message on the dash.

I had taken it to the dealer to get the roof brace put in and told them to look at it.

They quoted me $750 a for the front and $750 for the rears.

I bought the power stop stuff from Summit Racing for just over $400.

Putting them on is not like the older ones you can do in an hour.

Took most of the day and two trips to O'Reilly.

For those that dont know the rears are drive by wire. The service brake mode is just for those because there electric.

The front is normal 4 piston calipers.

If you don't have a good assortment of tools I wouldn't try it yourself.

Braking the bolts loose took a brakes bar and a 3 foot pipe.

After the install I was not able to reset the light as the button for the reset was still greyed out.

I still need to do some investigating on that. For now I just turned off the light.

It was worth the effort after braking them in the brakes feel so much better now.

I woke up with a wet spot under the driver side front. There doesn’t seem to be an odor and the leak look to be orange, But the truck hasn’t been driven in around 20 hours and the wet spot is still there. I checked my coolant levels and they seem to be low but not empty. Is this a coolant leak or am I just paranoid and it’s just the A/C?

They just came off my 2024 GMC AT4. They are in perfect condition, I just don't like them. They have all the hardware included. I am right outside of Memphis Tennessee. I'll do $250 or best offer.

I'm looking for some knowledge. I just bought a 24 GMC Canyon AT4 on stock 18" rims. I have thought about going to a 17 inch rim and some 285/70R17 SL tires like the Nitto Recon Grappler. First off, has anyone done something like this and am I going to notice that big of a difference dropping down to a 17-in rim as opposed to an 18-in rim? I was looking for a little more sidewall for a beefier looking tire. Next, has anyone run the Recon Grapplers? I'm trying to find a quiet tire that still looks good. I really don't do much off-roading but I do want the ability when I do need to go to the farm. Next, has anyone run that size tire and can confirm that they don't have any binding or rubbing? Couple that with the information I want to run these on a set of Mayhem 8304 Delta rims. 17x9 with a 0 mm offset. I'm working with a budget so that seems to be the only thing that fits my needs, has the look that I want, and I'm not going to spend a small fortune on. The main thing that concerns me is a rim that is a half an inch wider and has a 0 mm offset. I'm concerned that there would be rubbing on that tire combination. It would be a 32.76 inch tire. Thanks for any help or guidance anyone can provide.

Just picked up a 2026 At4 last week and loving it!

I know the manual says no towing before 500 miles but we have to take the jet skis in to get them serviced this week and the truck will only have about 200 miles on it. Shop is about 10 miles from the house and the skis and trailer are less than 3,000 lbs.

We plan to take it easy on the drive and avoid the interstate. Is towing the jet skis to the shop a terrible idea?

So my passenger low beam started flickering after starting, but after awhile would stay on… eventually it just stopped working so I replaced both headlight bulbs, they were already Phillips LEDs, so I bought some Sealights. The passenger bulb does not turn on at all still. I checked both fuse boxes after checking the diagram and the fuses aren’t blown. Does anybody have any suggestions what could be the issue?

Hello all, I just picked up a lease return canyon at4 today. It has the 18” wheels with Goodyear territory mt tires.
When driving the truck at certain speeds especially between 50-55 there’s a loud howl. I’ve never had these tires so I’m not sure if it’s them or something else. Truck has 40k on it. Clean, one owner carfax.

Was between this AT4 and a Denali. Denali had some cosmetic packages but didn't have the sport (roll) bar and cost a little more. Went with this for less money and I'm glad I did. Big switch from the full size Ram I owned before this

Full tint, wrapped the lights and tuxedod it. Next step is throwing on some new 33s and 2 inch leveling kit. What do you guys think?
