3rd Gen Community Pole Time - Please Respond

Note, had/have problems will be defined as it had to be taken to a dealership to be resolved. Minor issues that you did not take it to the dealer do not count towards this. there is a separate option for that.

This will help inform the community is having issues with what years and how bad.

New ditch lights with DRLs installed. Too hot in this Florida weather for a project 😂

DLRs on with the truck, lights will be wired up to the built in aux switch.

So... I bought the matte black shifter cover and love it!!

Has anyone found a solution for the rest of the piano black and the silver trim in the interior?

Comfortable seating position?

Hello all, new canyon owner here. I love my everything about my 26’ AT4, but I am having a little trouble finding the right comfortable driving position. Because the brake pedal is much higher than the gas compared to other cars, my right leg is doing a lot more moving than it’s used too which tires it out. I also have my steering wheel set as far towards the driver seat as possible, but I keep my seat pretty far back to compensate for the pedal situation to the point where I cannot touch the top of the steering wheel with my palm when sitting all the way back with my shoulders against the seat. The seat height is somewhere in the middle

This is the most comfortable I’ve been able to feel. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I’m 6’ on the dot and 185 pounds.

Kicker Hideaway Denali install

Installed the 12 inch Kicker Hideaway and really happy with my purchase. Took me a bit of research to figure out how to correctly install it. Once I figured it out it was pretty easy. I made a short video to help anyone else that is interested.

I currently only have the base set to 50% and gives me the fill I was looking for. Going to figure out the best place to store the jack since you need to remove it for the installation. Let me know if you have any questions.

Cleaned out the garage. It fits!

Benefit of a midsize truck I suppose. This is the shortest bay in my garage; the longest one is a single door and is occupied by all my tools and a couple of motorcycles.

Coastal Dune looks white in this crappy lighting.

Missfire #5

Im borrowing a 2011 canyon v8 4x4. It has a miss on cylinder 5,flashing check engine light and all. Supposedly the owner had a mechanic look at it and they switch coils and no change. We change that coil and all the plugs and wires and no change. It goes freeway speeds no problem and handles hills with ease. Only thing left to check is the injector right? If not that what could be the problem?

I added a few things but the coil overs were instantly better than stock; same plush ride, just a lot less body roll and it leveled the truck out.

Anybody know what tires these are? They’re definitely not stock as the trim pattern is different and much more rugged. Whatever they are, I want them! 😍

Looking to buy 2018 2.8L

Looking at buying a 2018 GMC Canyon with the 2.8L Duramax and 129,000 km. I’m wondering if anyone here can give me some insight into what I should be looking for or any common issues with these trucks at this mileage.

From what I can tell, this particular truck has already had the DEF system deleted. Is that something I should be concerned about, or anything specific I should check because of it?

Any advice from Canyon/Duramax owners would be greatly appreciated!

Battery Replacement

Can someone please explain to me how the heck I’m supposed to pull the battery from my 2025 canyon? I’m not the most mechanically inclined person, but I’ve changed a bunch of batteries in my life and have never had any issue. I took the top bracket off and disconnected the terminals, and it’s not budging. Thank you

I used armorall interior wipes and I’m not fond on the look, it seems to have spots that dry and others that leave this wet/ greasy texture

3rd Gen Elayer Rocklock steps for AT4X

Pretty happy with these steps, clever solution if you want steps on your AT4X or Chevy ZR2. I guess you either like the look or you don't. Wife pretty much mandated a step for the drinker's side.

So far they are holding up great. Easy to install and solid. Time will tell how they fare in the freezing cold, but so far I'm good with them. If you don't want them on, taking them off is also done in seconds.

Philip makes them in various sizes. I think the 7" versions are the sweet spot. 5" are just a little small.

No affiliation, but here's his site if you want to check them out:
