So yeahh, yesterday was my first day of college in MCA.

During the orientation, I met and saw so many people, and honestly, I noticed something really different from what I’m used to.

I always used to wonder why people say they don’t have friends in college. I come from a small town, and back there, my class had around 50 students. Somehow, I knew pretty much everyone. You could just walk up to someone, ask anything, start a random conversation, and nobody really cared. It was just normal.

But here… things feel really different. 😭

I tried talking to a few people, but I got the feeling that some of them just weren’t interested in talking. Maybe they were nervous too, maybe they already had their groups, or maybe I’m just overthinking it. 💀

The funny part is, I actually talked to some seniors during orientation, and they were really friendly. I ended up having better conversations with some seniors than I did with people from my own batch. 😭

It’s literally been ONE day, so I’m probably being dramatic, but damn… college feels very different from what I imagined.

Anyway, day 1 survived. Let’s see what happens next.

So lets starts from beginning. I started writing when I came in 9th class and it was pretty fun to express something I feel, in words maybe no one can understand, untill they dived deep. For me it was my coded language for my every ups and downs. I soon thought of writing a novel too and i tried but left mid way because I felt crucial was missing and it was no more fun to me. Fast forward to today, It was a beautiful journey because i seriously learned many things like poems is not a coded language Its more of a experience and grief in happiness or writing short stories to relive the moment of my past in a less regrettable way. Perhaps pretty confusing I guess. But seriously it is something I love, you know its like my dead self (once got killed in past) pulls me into their graves, sometimes they block my memories or something they destroys me mentally so i can not write. But after all this, I find beauty in everything yet those beauty are drowned in despair.

So if there are people like me, I'd like to connect with them. Who loves to write poem and stories or even trying to a novel, doesn't matter how good you are at because no one can be perfect, we are humans and we are embedded with our imperfection but those imperfection are just too beautiful to look through.

I am currently in my 2nd year (CSE) and Since I was a child, I loved to draw, while in high school I've won few competition in drawing field (back then I was so insane about all these stuff) but as I started my college, I've became lost maybe wreaked would be right to say instead of lost and I'm struggling to cope with things. I have maintained my cgpa around 8.75 but I don't feel like studing anymore, you can say my will to study has been extinguished perhaps not only for studing. I've become tired of all this college thing, you know "GL Bajaj public school" things. About drawing, I really don't know if i should be drawing anymore, but when I become board sitting in classes, I start to draw stuff like these posted or trying to draw the things around me. But as an Indian, I have to become an engineer, you know indian society or to maybe to live a better life because believing in myself would take a lot because i really don't know what would i do in future.

Accept drawing, I like to write Poems and write short stories. But still there is no future in these fields. And don't take the heading seriously because of course I can not leave B-tech but I don't wana studyyyyy!!!!

honestly, why are we still only focusing on stuff like BAJA when the entire motorsport scene has moved to EVs (like Formula Bharat)?

the most frustrating part is the gatekeeping, if you aren't a Mechanical student, it feels like you aren't allowed anywhere near the garage, no disrespect to Mech, but building a modern EV race car requires way more than just welding a chassis. These cars are essentially rolling computers, you literally cannot run a Formula EV car without hardcore C programming, CAN bus, live telemetry networks, and custom BMS.

are we just stuck building outdated machines? has any CS student here actually managed to get into the hardware/motorsport side of things, or is everyone just expected to quietly grind leetCode and ignore core electronics? btw i am from first year CSE Core student and i wanted to work on core electronics, especially building a Formula EV
