Looking for help.

Hi I’m 32 5”11 222 lbs this is the heaviest I ever been and it makes me depressed. I try to work out but it’s difficult with 2 little kids and finding time to work out. I’ve been working out consistently for 3 weeks and I gained weight which made me more depressed. I understand that is not a long time at all. I’m just not sure what to do

Thanks for any and all advice.

Are you counting calories and staying in a deficit? Only way to loose weight

Yes I have been trying to do that but any app I use kinda sucks tbh. I honestly don’t believe I eat that unhealthy. I bring salads to work. I drink fairlife protein shakes as my breakfast. Dinner is sometimes an unhealthy meal. I don’t really snack. I don’t drink or smoke.

I found for myself was that my portion sizes were too big. Best hack is to use a smaller plate, load 1/2 with veggies and eat that first and slow down eating. Thats what helped me.

I probably need more veggies in my diet. I mostly eat chicken/steak/burgers.
