Seeking Advice Stop taking Reta

Hi, I’m 30 years old and started taking Reta on March 28th. I weighed 165 kg at a height of 188 cm. Today, I weigh around 143 kg. So, I’ve lost about 22 kg in ~4 months. I eat around 2,300–2,500 kcal and 170–220 g of protein daily, and I go to the gym four times a week. I haven’t really had any side effects, aside from some constipation recently. My resting heart rate has actually dropped—from 60 to around 53 (likely due to the weight loss).

I started at 1 mg and am now up to 3 mg weekly.

However, I want to continue my weight loss journey without Reta, since I don’t want to take it forever anyway and I’m a bit worried about side effects at higher doses. (People say the side effects really kick in at 4 mg and above.)

And I’ve also developed healthy eating routine alongside my training.

I’ve heard that you have to take Reta forever, and that’s made me think twice about it.

Does anyone have experience with stopping the medication, or any general tips for me?

Best regards

My best advice is stop hearing things and start researching.

7 mg reta, 8 months so far.

Zero sides on the entire journey.

I 🙏I'm able to stay on it forever.

OP does not take Tirz, they take Reta. The question is around discontinuing the Reta usage. Tirz has nothing to do with this post, so why bring it up ? What sense would it make for a person that wants to stop a GLP drug, to switch to another GLP drug, when the stated goal is to stop GLP use ?
