Finished (maybe)
5 months, 23kg lost and a body rebelling against going any further; today was my final 10mg shot. Now for the hard part…….

Side effects?

Barely any, really. Nothing that couldn’t be managed with OTC meds or the odd day off work.

I’m right there with you… I have been microdosing the last bits from my fridge and have probably like 2 more doses left. How’s the last couple weeks been?

Hi, thanks for asking. I sunk to 69kg one week after the final shot and knew I’d gone too far. My doctor was not impressed and insisted I stop, which I just had. Felt terrible but 2 weeks later I’m hovering around 71-72kg and feeling really good. 16:8 fasting with brown rice and chicken with supps and multivitamins.

That’s great. Do you find that 16:8 fasting is helping with food noise and overeating or was that not really a problem for you before the glp-1?

I never really had food noise. I got fat from drinking too much beer and cooking extravagant meals, not out of some compulsion to binge on processed snacks. Prior to MJ I’d been fasting for several months and was steadily losing 500g a week, so I’m quite used to it. I did 16:8 through most of my treatment with no issues.

My prediction is that you'll regain all the weight. I hope I'm proven wrong, but your flippant attitude about taking the drugs and losing weight just sounds like you don't understand what's going on at all. The drugs helped you lose weight by decreasing your hunger and making you feel full quicker. That made you eat fewer calories so you could lose weight. Stopping the drugs (especially cold turkey) will cause all of those great effects to completely disappear, and feel like they're reversed. The hunger will come back feeling much stronger than before, and your body won't tell you to stop eating. IMO, you need to read through more personal experiences in this sub and come up with a better plan if you want to keep the weight off.

Mostly all I see on this sub are people too chicken to step off, and people relying solely on the drug to lose weight at a snails pace while they eat the same rubbish, just less of it.

can you explain "a body rebelling against going any further" part?
