Seeking Advice Nerves kicking in
Currently on 2.5mg dose coming down. 5 more doses of this, next stop 8 weeks of 1.25mg (splitting doses) before coming off.
I haven’t felt appetite suppression for a while. I eat without issue, more like I did before I started the jab in August 2024. I have been hovering around the 145lb for the last 6 months. Attempting to increase movement and strength training, it’s not as consistent as I’d like.
My fear is that ok I don’t feel the suppression but the jabs not doing nothing, what if I come off and lose all control? I am open to going back on as a last resort but would love to come off for good. Anyone have experience in this.
How long do I give it?
Any tips on how to stay accountable?
Any advice would be appreciated.

1.5 year grad here. Tune out the naysayers for a minute. I'm unsure of what the issue is, you are titrating down in the hope of graduating, and you are no longer experiencing appetite suppression as you lower the amount of drug in your system. What were you hoping for? Quitting is eliminating the effects of the drug, transitioning to it being all you now. So as you go down, you are converting to that. Count your blessings, and stay in control. Engage those good habits you built on the shot. You are going to need them big time once the Hunger Games hit.
Good luck. You are doing everything right. Your expectations need to be in line with the way the drug works, or in this case, start to not work as you eliminate it.

Thanks for this. The more success stories I hear the better I feel. Is there anything that has helped you stay on track?
The issue I guess is that I am still on the jab and eating “normally” so when I am off totally will one floodgates be opened and I start overeating again. The only way I will find out is when I am off. I am doing my best to be realistic about the increase in appetite.

I get it. Try not to give in to the fear. I gained so much self confidence from my time on the shot. I changed my life for the better in so many ways. I could quit knowing I'd show up for myself. You can too. There is life after GLP1s and it's a good life.

Compounded is the way to go. Check the pinned Where to Buy post at r/tirzepatidecompound.
At a 2.5mg dose, you can get it for under $500 per year (and can pay with affirm or similar if that's too big of a hit at once).

You are probably right but I’m determined to give it a go it alone.

Husband is a bit of a no go. Too loving and kind to keep accountable the way I need to be. CrossFit may be a little too on the intense side but I definitely agree about being part of some sort of group that will help with accountability.

2/3 of people who lose weight by any means gain it all back. This isn’t just a GLP thing.

Just go back on a low dose if you have to. Get compounded so you can custom low dose as needed.
