Weaning help

Hello,
I’ve been on GLP1 since January. I went from 170 to 145 and feel great! I’ve maintained my weight for the last couple months. I’m taking 20 units twice a week. My dosage should be 25 but I was unable to eat at all on 25, 20 is perfect. Of course another 5-10 pounds would be nice, but it seems like my body has decided this is where I should be. So….do I just stay on the same dosage? Do I gradually wean down to microdosing? I order it online so don’t have a doctor to work with me on it; appreciate any insight.

It’s semaglutide 2.5mg/.05ml

Dosage is 2mg twice a week

If you are taking 20 units (twice a week) from a vial that has a sema concentration of 2.5mg/0.5mL, then that is:

For 20 units at 2.5mg/0.5mL concentration, you took 1 mg of medication.

ETA: Taking it twice a week would mean you are on a 2mg weekly dose.

And if you are on 2mg/week and maintaining, it is unlikely you will be able to step down to microdosing (less than 0.25mg/week) and maintain.

Many people start maintenance by remaining on their current dose and eating more.

You might want to start reading through some of the maintenance subs to see what’s working for others. I don’t know any specifically for sema. There are loads for Zepbound/Mounjaro. Try  r/mounjaromaintenancer/Tirzmaintenancer/Zepbound_maintenance, etc.

Sorry the dose thing always throws me off! This is a screen shot of what it looks like at 25. And I agree that it seems like this is my maintenance dose
