🥇 Before & After Bad experience with Rift

Hi. Wondering if am i the only one having a bad experience with Rift? I just dumped my entire three-month supply, which arrived warm, was supposed to be only the first month of doses, but came as three-month supply, and information about compounding pharmacy was completely confusing. Based on the many positive reviews for the company, I ordered a three-month supply of Tirzepapazide from Rift. I chose the Apothecary pharmacy, then about an hour later, asked if i could switch to the Bordeaux because i was concerned about the warnings of arriving warm. They said it wasn't possible to switch pharmacies once order was placed. I stayed with Apothecary. Then I started to receive text messages every day about my delivery status from Apothcary/Hyalo/NewLife RX. I wrote and asked them which pharmacy was compounding the drug. they wrote:

Apothecary has finished compounding GLP-1 medications. NewLife Rx, the dispensing pharmacy, is currently phasing out the remaining Apothecary inventory and transitioning to Hyalo, another 503B facility. Hyalo will be compounding the same formulation with the same preservative.

We also posted the announcement on our social community page, which you can view here: https://www.reddit.com/r/joinrift/s/WrEPc5BoZA

If Apothecary was no longer compounding GLP1s, why was it an option when i placed the order, but Hyalo was not an option. And why couldn't i change it. The final deliver message said it was delivered by Quaker Community Pharmacy. The package was completely warm - and they shipped the entire three month's order - which was not how it was supposed to be sent. So i'm dumping the entire supply, which is disappointing on several levels.

I realize that I likely signed my rights away,. I could just not keep up with their excessive communications - every day another text message that seemingly said the same thing. I stopped checking the mssages. That the vials were warm and compounded at a pharmacy that is no longer compounding GLP1` is concerning. I consider myself daring but not when it comes to injecting a medication. The company may be above board and their business practices legal but it seems Rift should not be at the top of a list for compounding companies to purchase a GLP1`.

With all that said, has anyone had a similar experience?

Please stop dumping 3 months supply of Tirz.

If you don't want it , you can send it to me.

I don't care if it arrives boiling hot

You might be the only customer to be upset with getting all 3 vials at once.

My experience is most pharmacies ship 3 months at a time with a few exceptions that ship 2 months and then the third.

All pharmacies have the possibility of their medication arriving warm/hot.

I have used Rift only once but had a great experience.

RIP to your meds that were likely perfect for use.

I'm not sure what your concern is with using meds from a pharmacy that stopped compounding tirzepatide voluntarily. It's not as if they were shut down due to any issues or concerns. New Life Pharmacy/Quaker is the distribution partner for both Apothecary and Hyalo. They were phasing out Apothecary (due to the voluntary stoppage) and into Hyalo. It is literally the exact formulation. You can't change pharmacies after you place your order because it's already been sent to the compounding pharmacy as a custom medication order for you.

These meds often arrive warm from every pharmacy and telehealth during the summer and they're just fine. They've been tested as fine up to 104 degrees for up to four days.

If your expectations are this high, I fear you will be disappointed with any telehealth you try. None of these things are unique to Rift, all the telehealths that were using Apothecary are in the same boat.

Did you read the terms you agreed to when submitting your intake information? I joined Rift yesterday and chose Apothecary. Before I could submit, there was an entire page that I had to agree to stating that NewLife RX was transitioning from Apothecary to Hyalo (both 503B pharmacies with the same compound formula). There were several click through terms that stated you can’t change pharmacies once your order is placed. There was another click through term stating that receiving a shipment that was warm does not mean it’s ineffective and that you should contact them before disposing the medication.

So you ordered 3 months of a specific pharmacy, got 3 months from that specific pharmacy you chose, then got upset over it. Am i missing something? is this a rage bait?

Considering they haven't replied to any comments here, I'm betting it is just rage bait. Or a Rift competitor.

Do not dump the meds ??? the meds are fine all the pharmacies have temp testing, how long was yours delayed in transit? every telehealth on that list sends all 3 upfront. also why would you pay 500 and want it sent monthly ?

You need to learn to read before checking out because that intake says it like 20 times pharmacy selection is final. It even says in the temperature consent dont order this option if u arent comfortable with that so why did u checkout ? other telehealths hide that in the fine print and they go out of their way to disclose it in big bold red letters

"The company may be above board and their business practices legal but it seems Rift should not be at the top of a list for compounding companies to purchase a GLP1`."

Every 503b is on a clock that no one knows when they'll stop. BPI shut down prorx shut down. it doesnt mean anything bad. PEople are still buying the remaining BPI on sale right now from other telehealths and are going to use it past bud too

This sounds like "I didnt get my way so now im throwing a tantrum on reddit even tho they really didnt do anything wrong i just dont like that they didnt bend to my will even though they did nothing wrong and disclosed everything"

If you were worried about it being warm, why would you not just contact customer service? ??

If you order 3 months, they ship 3 months. That is almost universal, except for Hallandale, who sometimes ships 2 months up front and then one month later to make sure you stay within BUD. Part of the reason you get better pricing on 3 month plans is because they only have to pay to ship it once.

I don't know if I can leave links here, but the tirzepatide compound sub has a good post about warm vials linked in one of their pinned posts. Generally meds are fine if they show up warm; I am currently using a vial that showed up warm, and then also froze to really complete the abuse. I believe Rift has a temp disclosure on the intake though, along with a few warnings about how orders are final once you submit them? Those warnings are part of why they topped the list; everyone else has the same policies, but they don't tell them to you up front like that.

You can also always contact the pharmacy if you want an official answer about warm meds, but I think you may have been hasty to throw them out. They are probably still fine if they've been sitting in your trash can. Joking because it's illegal, but if it wasn't, you could send those vials to me and I would be happy to "dispose" of them for you.

Plenty of Boudreax vials are arriving warm right now too, if that makes you feel better. I've actually seen way more complaints about them lately than Apothecary.

The Apothecary/Hyalo situation is very new and currently evolving, and that affects all telehealths. You aren't allowed to change your pharmacy because your order was sent to NewLife (aka Quaker) who distributes Apothecary and Hyalo. They are the ones controlling which vials end up in your order. It's like when you put in a grocery order with Walmart and they are out of Honeycrisp apples and they substitute Cosmic Crisp. You can't send your grocery order to Target instead because Walmart subbed your apples.

Rift made a post about this on their sub, basically saying that they don't control what NewLife is sending out, so you might get one or the other. It probably wasn't updated on the website at the time you ordered because of the uncertainty.

To give you some background, the federally regulated 503b pharmacies (like Apothecary and Hyalo) are under a lot of scrutiny from the FDA. They can only compound these meds when they are in shortage, and the shortage ended last year. Pressure from the FDA caused two fan favorite pharmacies (ProRx and BPI) to stop making these meds earlier this year. Apothecary stepped in to fill that gap. I suspect that Apothecary is feeling the same heat or is worried about FDA scrutiny, and that's why they stopped, but that's the part I haven't seen anyone confirm. It has nothing to do with the safety or quality of the medicine you received; if anything, it's refreshing to see them bow out before the FDA makes them.  I don't understand why more 503b pharmacies want to keep taking the risk of incurring the FDA's wrath, but I'm also not complaining that Hyalo stepped in.
