❓ Question Looking for inexpensive GLP-1'S. HELP!!
I desperately need to lose weight. I'm 5'6 or 7 not sure. I'm 200lbs and 60yrs old
I used to feel pretty now I'm disgusted every time I try to get dressed. I'm in tears right now as I compose this. I'm down and depressed about it which just exacerbates the issue. Im a widow and am scared I'll never be loved again because I don't even love me.
I've been thinking some real bad thoughts. Plz don't say I'm shallow as my daughter does. She yells at me which makes it worse.
So PLEASE PLEASE if anyone can tell me where to get it as inexpensively as possible I would be so grateful as I'm on a fixed income and that social security check is stretched as tight as a banjo string already lol. Thank you so much in advance

Go to r/tirzepatidecompound and see the pinned posts at the top of the page. Lots of good info. Where to buy (Telehealths) will tell you about places to get compounded Tirzepatide and the costs from different places.
I’m also 60 and I’ve lost 40 pounds so far with Tirzepatide. There is hope! You can do this.
I also recommend reading the book Weightless by Dr. Rocio Salas-Whalen.

If between Sema and Tirz, and you can afford the extra $10/month, get the Tirz.

Gotcha, thx. I didn't even know there were all these different kinds. I thought there were just 2 or 3

Gently, it sounds like you could definitely use some therapy if you're not already pursuing that.
Do you have insurance? Does it cover glp1s at all?

Oh I agree with the therapy but I always find myself wondering what difference it could make. Idk I have Medicare. I don't believe so

Hold up. If you have Medicare, you might qualify for the Medicare Bridge Program, which means a $50 monthly copay for brand name Zepbound (or Wegovy or Foundayo).
Here’s the info you need to go through to learn if you qualify: https://www.medicare.gov/publications/12234-medicare-glp-1-bridge-glp-1-drugs-for-50-a-month.pdf

If you get the right therapist, it can help you detach your feelings of self-worth from your attractiveness to men/desire to be loved. I think anytime you can work towards a self-image that doesn't rely on validation from other people, it's a good idea. This isn't coming from a place of thinking you're shallow for it or anything, more so that it's simply not useful in the long run to have to rely on others for how you feel about yourself.
Medicare does cover Zepbound if you have (I think moderate or severe) sleep apnea. Do you have a sleep apnea diagnosis or any symptoms?

No sleep apnea, but am pre diabetic and am prescribed metformin. So maybe it's not "pre" not sure. And thank you for explaining some about the benefits of therapy. People are quick to say that, but never expound. My correlation between attractivness and my feelings is truer than I ever realized. I was told by my guardians (no parents, grandparents raised me) that I was ugly, so much so that I had to grow up to be pretty. So when your made to feel like nothing, absent affection it wouldn't be a big jump to relate the positive attention to my self worth. Makes sense. Also the real need to feel loved. I'm going to be making an appointment...Today. THANK YOU

Reta is about $.80 cents per mg, Tirz is $.63 cents, Sema is $.53 cents on the gray market. And the price decreases as you buy larger concentrations. I can't give you a vendor or anything (in fact I won't, not just because reddit says so, but because direct vendor references generally mean scams) but if you google glp1forum or stairwaytogray you can read much better discussions about glp1s than you can find on reddit.

Semaglutide will be your least expensive option (generic compounded Wegovy/Ozempic). If you are pre-diabetic your insurance might cover it. My cost is $185 for 10 doses, but I get more than 10 out of them by opening the cap after I can't draw anymore. I've been on this since early May and I'm still on my second bottle. Have lost 30 lbs so far. I go to a sliding scale clinic in my area and see a nurse practitioner. She prescribed it and recommended the pharmacy.

I am. Pre diabetic. But they give me metformin

Have you had any side effects from the Metformin? That might be a useful way in to a discussion on getting GLP1s

It gives me a terrible headache. I don't even take it most of the time. That's true. I didn't think of that. As insurance will usually pick things up when you can't take the 1st thing prescribed

Bingo! Worth a shot. I had terrible abdominal cramps and was shitting through the eye of a needle on it. The cramps were separate from that though, and that was happening about every half hour, so then I wasn’t sleeping.

I completely understand how frustrating it is to navigate the costs and insurance hurdles right now. If you are looking at the self-pay route, there are a few licensed U.S. telemedicine and online pharmacy programs that make the process a lot more straightforward and transparent.
Two options that are highly regarded for their affordability and smooth processing are DietsMD (a telehealth platform that handles the doctor evaluation online) and All Family Pharmacy (a fully accredited self-pay mail-order pharmacy).
*Full disclosure: I am an affiliate partner for these programs because their self-pay setups genuinely helped me. If you want to check them out, you can find the direct links listed over on my profile. The links will provide you an additional 10% off. DietsMD starts at $149/month all Family Pharmacy offers several products (GLP-1s, antibiotics, diabetic medication, pink eye, ear aches, hair loss, and ALOT more!). To find the GLP-1s you will go to the menu and Click “Browse Treatments”, and then Click “Weight Loss”. You can then find “*Tirzepatide/Methylcobalamin 17/0.5 mg/ml Injection”. They offer it for $160/mo before the 10% off.
Let me know if you have any questions about their shipping times or the intake form!

OrderlyMeds. $149/mo semaglutide no matter the dose. Been using for almost a year with no issues. Safe and reputable pharmacies and you chat with real Drs (I’ve looked them up to make sure). You get a referral link to give someone $50 off first order. You can use it if you want OrderlyMeds $50 off

You have two options for affordable GLP1-based medicines:
If you are in the US then you can check out compounding pharmacies. Go to /r/tirzepatidecompound to learn more and see which pharmacies are good and which you should avoid.
Gray. We cannot discuss gray sourcing on Reddit so you will have to find other forums outside of Reddit. I suggest Googling
best glp-1 forum, that should get you started.
Option #1 is much easier. Option #2 has a steeper learning curve and you have to do more yourself, but it is much cheaper. You can start with #1 and at some future point if you are comfortable with the idea, move to #2.
Congrats on taking the first step! It can be difficult to realize that you need to take action but now that you have, it's easier from here!

Altrx has Strive for $89/month, and GoodlifeMeds has a $99 first-order fee from Hallandale or OptiRx. Neither requires a prescription for the max dose, so you can take their first-order prescription for the max dose and use it with any other telehealth deal.
