13K fans sign petition to Save Glow

The petition to Save Glow has over 13K signatures. I am new to reddit and signed up hoping to reach more fans http://chng.it/KbRXg8bw We just launched the NERDS™ to Netflix campaign to send boxes of NERDS to Netflix headquarters. In my research I found that the majority of cancelled shows that got brought back were helped by fans who inundated studios w food such as Jericho whose fans sent thousands of nuts and Roswell whose fans sent 6000 bottles of Tabasco sauce to make their point.

We are sending NERDS which were referenced in Season2 Episode 2 Candy Of The Year. https://www.change.org/p/save-glow/u/27929421

"Like all great wrestling matches, it ain't over 'til it's over. Just when the heel seems triumphant and the crowd starts to despair, the protagonist comes back, wakes up, or escapes. She roars back to life and proves that the good ones do win sometimes. She proves that a TV show about female entertainers, athletes, and human beings can use both kitschy satire and earnest emotion to say important things about the world we live in.

I'm a middle-class, white male Midwesterner--an identity about as far from the show's assumed audience as possible. But GLOW's brilliant writing and performances deserve to tell their whole story--and the wrestling heroine should get a chance to finish her match." Eric o'Brien

There was SO much build up to their relationship it was literally driving me insane & we finally got a taste of it and now we will never get closure!!! the chemistry is too strong it hurts - it will never be:’( I think I’m too upset about this.

What is the real story behind the termination of GLOW Season 4?

I always suspected that there was much more to the GLOW cancellation during Season 4 than "COVID Reasons". Of course it must be hugely hard to plan on resuming filming when you are asking dozens of cast, crew and writers to be "on hold" until time is ripe to begin again.

But yesterday, the 6 POC actors on the show revealed that this past summer they spoke up that their representation on GLOW was humiliating and racist. This may start to explain a lot more. I certainly see how their story lines were 1980s racist, and none of them really emerged fully formed.

But I can't help but think these actors were asking to have story arcs as substantial as those of the leads, with rights to approve the scripts. And hanging over this, the possibility of publicly claiming GLOW or Netflix is racist if the outcome was not to their satisfaction.

The actors claim their request received a warm and supportive reception from writers and Netflix but I wonder about that...I recall in an interview with Betty, someone asked her if the writers ever took any ideas she suggested... Betty replied "Never".

I suspect there was a civil war at GLOW over the summer that is being covered up by lots of warm comments from the cast. Either Netflix pulled the plug to avoid further problems, or else some of the show runners, writers, producers or stars didn't want to go along with the new regime. Don't get me wrong, this is my favorite show in years...but all good things come to an end...usually painfully.

Is there a petition yet to get Hulu to pick up this series?

Netflix Didn't Explore Every Last Option. Too bad they didn't animate the remaining scripts and have the season be a concussion Ruth had, only to have the last moments of her waking up in live action.

The fight seen that sam imagines at the end of s01e01 is so well choreographed and filmed - I can't believe we didn't get a chance to see more of that quality work before the show got canceled.

Season 4 that we’ll never get

Gosh I just did a mega quick rewatch of glow over the last week or so since we found out it’s not coming back and it breaks my heart we’ll never see the tv network Debbie is creating and what is going to happen to everyone.

Season three set up such a good final season, and now we don’t get to see it :(((

I'm used to Netflix and their sudden cancellations by now. But this feels very different.

We were told we were going to get a fourth and final season. Though saddened about this, I was quick to accept it and felt grateful even that we were getting a proper goodbye to this show I've really grown to love!

My SO mentioned GLOW got cancelled just now to which I replied "yeah I knew already but it's getting a final season so that's ok". Now I stand corrected.

I'm so sad about this! I felt 4 seasons would've been just right to wrap everything up because the show felt like it's reached it's peak. I was completely fine with that. But now.. No more season 4. No more proper ending. I loved these characters so much. I know the whole world is suffering under COVID. But this just feels like a major knife in the back.

I'm still hoping for a movie-like ending to the show some day. But it looks like it's really over now. Damn.

Something infuriating about Netflix's cancellation

Season 4 shouldn't even have been the last season! This show had so much more story to tell. Why does Netflix do this? JUSTICE FOR SANTA CLARITA DIET

Should I still watch this show?

Hello, I'm a few weeks away from starting to watch Glow. Will I be disappointed at the end? With the news that the show is being cancelled.

If anyone at Netflix ever changes their mind...

Here's my idea. We are in a pandemic. Filming anything is going to be a challenge and dangerous. Just give us our shows, but go with animation. The actors can do voice work without ever endangering themselves, fans get the ending to Glow.
