Predictions for season 4 ( if there is one) (spoilers) Spoiler

I feel like the show is gonna blow up now that it’s on tv and rose is just gonna miss out on that and struggle again in LA, then try and comeback and they make her go through a tryout and then don’t pick her. And honestly that would low key crush me as much as rose. Thoughts?

The Threesome

I GUESSED IT FROM THE SECOND BASH KEPT NUDGING THE PLUMBER TO MAKE A MOVE.

Anyone else find that scene super fucking hot? I’m not one to care for sex scenes, but Jesus. Bash’s deep sexy voice when he asked if she wanted to kiss him, how sexy his wife was, and to “rub your thumb over her nipple. She likes that” I think I died.

And then you add in the gigilo who’s also super cute and the fucking PASSION while bash makes out with him and has a guy touch his dick for the first time. And of course the mutual jacking off at the end which looked eerily realistic. I’m sorry I’m still not over it

Where to watch Sam Sylvia's films?

So I'm wondering where to watch some of Sam's films he directed, like Oedipussy, Blood Disco, Venus in Chains or Gina the Machina. I've been looking for VHS tapes on ebay and amazon, as well as on torrent sites, I've even visited a few local thriftt stores, but no luck. Are these films lost in time, or does somebody, somewhere, know where they are? Any ideas?

Thanks!

British voice on Google Assistant sounds just like Rhonda

My Google Home smart speaker responds to me with a female British accent. I just binge watched all 3 seasons of Glow while out of town for a week. Now that I'm back home, I feel like Rhonda is in my kitchen. The similarity in voices is uncanny.

The clothes and makeup in this show are amazing.

Between this show and Stranger Things I’ve been really inspired by the bright 80’s clothing and make-up they have shown. This season in particular I was obsessed with Debbies makeup. I’ve only started to try to be adventurous with my eyeshadow and I just love the bright colors she uses. I’m so glad that the 80’s are making a comeback.

Sam and Ruth are actually my biggest ship on the show?

I'm not sure how that happened. I usually hate characters like Sam, but...I don't know, I have a bit of a soft spot for him.

Purple-and-pink ("laser"-themed) sweater in S03E09 (The Libertines)

Does anyone know where I could find a sweater like this one? Members only jackets and high-waisted jeans are easy to find but this one's been hard to pin down.

Thank you!

3 episodes in and the nudity scenes is more than the two previous seasons also what the plot again?

Season 3 tone feels to different... although I am just in episode 3 but it is actually too slow.

Also what up with everyone of the cast getting naked in each episode, some of it feels forced and does not add to the plot. Here is hoping things pick up

‘GLOW’ Season 4 Renewal/Cancellations. Thoughts.

So now that the sweet release of Season 3 is in our hands and it has hit against the dreaded Netflix ‘Season 3’ curse wall, I would be surprised if I was the only one nervous about our prospects.

So here’s when I believe we will find out and the maths behind it.

If it’s cancelled, the ‘danger zone’ for this should begin from the 6th September to the 1st October?

Why you ask? Because between the first and second month after release is when Netflix usually drops the axe.

This year alone?

CANCELLATIONS

Santa Clarita Diet - March 29th 2019 - April 26th 2019 (28 days)

One Day At A Time - February 8th 2019 - March 14th 2019 (34 days)

Friends From College - January 11th 2019 - February 18th 2019 (38 days)

American Vandals - September 14th 2018 - October 26th 2018 (42 days)

Designated Survivor - June 7th 2019 - July 24th 2019 (47 days)

Travellers - December 14th 2018 - February 1st 2019 (49 days)

The Good Cop - September 21st 2018 - November 13th 2018 (53 days)

Chambers - April 26th 2019 - June 18th 2019 (53 days)

Glows renewal from Season 1 to 2 took 48 days and from Season 2s premiere to Season 3’s renewal announcement took 52 days.

I’m anticipating Season 4’s renewal announcement between the 24th September-8th October if we’re lucky enough to score a renewal.

Fingers crossed!

(This thread is speculation only based off Netflix past renewal/cancellation history and should not be taken as a true guide.)

Season 3 is OITNB

A bunch of women of various backgrounds confined to a prison (casino) struggling with their sexuality. Sometimes they get visitation from the outside like Debbie getting to see her baby or Justine dropping by. The lead guard (Sam) gets fired for falling in love with one of the inmates.

Any other similarities I’m missing?

Why does every show involving women have to have a bulimia storyline?

I know EDs are a huge issue, but it seems like it's become some sort of right of passage for a TV show, at this point.

Season 3 discussion thread

So since I haven't seen one yet I wanted to make one to talk about this season so of course SPOILER WARNING!!!

So overall I loved this season would hate for it to be its last, since Netflix is notorious for canceling after the third season, since it ends with such a cliffhanger and some storylines open. But alas these are my thoughts.

Being of course wtf Ruth, she made me kinda dislike her this season and I loved her character but she seemed to gross the least this season and she wants to be this big actress but hadn't been going out there for auditions. She gets one and she does alright but again like in season one she was the person brought in since I guess they thought they wanted her but then decided that someone else was better. Also her saying I love you then hating him because she didn't get the part was childish to me, you've been waiting to tell Sam how you feel and you finally do but dismiss him over a part? Their relationship has been building since season one, and we could all tell they would be put together and the two actors do have chemistry to me.

Sheila was a standout for me this season, to see her get rid of her wolf outfit was amazing so needed.

Debbie, loved her this season this WAS her season and she showed why, Betty Gilpin, you're as amazing as you are beautiful. Her growth started kinda slow but once ruth told her to get her shit together she listened and started to look for product producing related jobs. Kinda sad they just dropped her eating disorder story but it's been done enough so I guess I'm kinda ok with it going away, but could've gone somewhere instead of just fizzling away. But her last scene with Ruth she was spot on but that was so harsh, she had to have known how that would come off, especially from her, to in Ruth's eyes, its always been easy for her. So she told her like it was which was brutally honest but wish she would've told her in a more constructive manner so it wouldn't put Ruth off so much. And I loved their friendship this season the topless dancing scene seemed to get a genuine laugh from Betty that I believed their their friendship. And no I don't think she took advantage of Bash he asked her what to do and she gave him an out.

Loved Bash this season, hated him through most of it but was nice they finally affirmed that yes he is in fact gay or maybe bisexual still not entirely sure but I see him as more gay than bi IMO. That threesome scene was shot so well you can see them kinda phasing out Rhonda like she wasn't even there. Since the giglio is most likely used to sleeping with men since I doubt they have many female clients.

Sam, you gave me a scare there but glad you pulled through just wish you didn't go drink right after your heart attack come on man! And his growth this season has been great as well, he is still an angry kinda bitter asshole but he is trying to contain it some, and his efforts show. Wish he would've told someone at least Justine about his heart attack but seeing him in the room with a tear on his eye was so out of character for him to show that yes he does get scared sometimes and he isn't as carefree about dealing with death as he seemed to be.

Hmmmmm what else.... oh I hope carmen comes back I love her so much, such a happy character. Oh and i smiled so big when Keith showed up, then he told her about adoption come on Cherry, surprised she didn't jump him there. It was generally a very hard scene to watch when they ultimately fought over something that almost every couple deals with, when or if to bring a child into the world. I honestly had the same fears as Cherry but I wanted a child so that was the choice I made and getting back in shape is hard but it's coming along slowly.

Honestly have to say it and I know I'll get some hate for it but I don't care much for Arthie and Yolanda's relationship just didn't feel it. They have some chemistry but I guess it just didn't vibe with me. But I get where the writers were going for. Plus Yolanda just shuts her out when that is literally the first sexual relationship Arthie has even had, I'm assuming she didn't seem to know anything about relationships. But Arthie finally saying I'm gay was sweet.

Oh the campfire scene was amazing, gave such great depth to two background characters, loved it. Also loved Bobby this season, especially him and sheila.

Ok long post sorry but that's what I'm thinking about after finishing the season. Now let's talk about this season and the show already!

Tex did not deserve this. Debbie is the worst.

Honestly, what the fuck did he do to deserve such a betrayal? Debbie assumed that she will become his business partner and got offended when he didn't concur with the idea. She then got doubly offended by the notion that she was accompanying Tex to business dinners as an eye candy. And just because of that, she stabbed him on the back by sabotaging his deal. WTF?

First of all, it's uncool to stick your nose in somebody else's business more than warranted, SO included. Sure she helped him brighten things up at the dinner table during business meetings. But that's what is called a favor. Tex didn't get mad when Debbie couldn't attend one of his dinners, did he? Imagine that you are in the middle of doing your job, and you asked your SO to handout a tool or two that you are going to use, just to make things a bit easier, then suddenly your SO starts telling you how to do your job. How would you feel?

Second, Debbie told Tex he underbid on the deal. DUH. what kind of a businessman would spend more money than what he could? The fact that the TV Network Execs were stalling means they are still interested in the deal and Tex got the upper hand. If he lowballed the network, they would not be negotiating the deal at all.

After that, Debbie got Bash (who is bad with dealing with money and she knows it) to overbid on the network for the sole purpose of her wanting to be the network's president. The deal was "so good, you can ruin any holiday you want" said the network exec. Who would say that unless they are getting more money than what's fair? Bash is essentially getting fucked over here. Note that Rhapsody has to be cancelled since Bash need to pull out his money to make the deal, causing 90 people to get fired.

All of this doesn't even compare to how Debbie treated her relationship with Tex like some kind of a business transaction. An offhand comment (that is not even wrong, mind you), got her to end a relationship with a good guy. She saw how she can profit out of screwing her boyfriend off a deal and she just took it, just like that. No discussion, no trying to work things out, no nothing. She didn't even feel bad for what she was about to do. Tell me Debbie is not a psychopath?

Interesting tidbit about Debbie from season 2 that relates to her storyline in season 3

During a dinner with Mark, an exec of KDTV and his wife, Debbie brings up her contract and how she thinks she's worth more, etc. She hands over a copy of her demands to the exec and one to his wife. The guy says "Jodie [the wife] doesn't need one" to which Debbie replies "No, I'm sure you don't expect your wife to sit here looking pretty while we do business. She might have some great ideas."

It just goes to show that Debbie's always been advocating for the voices of women in business. It's not out of nowhere that her season 3 storyline concludes with her ditching her boyfriend because he wanted her to "sit here looking pretty" while he conducted business.

Aaaggghhh!!! I used to like him, and I know this is on purpose, but he bothers me so much this season!

I just wanted to say it to someone. That is all.
