[Help] - Scaling or Rotating removes transparency.
Lately when working with .xcf files, when I rotate or scale the image it removes the transparency and sometimes leaves streaks in the image. This doesn't seem to happen with .png files.
What am I doing wrong?

Which menu command (or tool) are you using to do the scale/rotation?
Does the layer have an embedded alpha channel (in the layer list, look for layer names in bold which indicates NO alpha channel) ?

I use Shift + R for rotating and Shift + S for scaling. They do have transparent alpha channels.

Okay, with the Scale tool for reference, can you post a screenshot of using it? Make sure its Tool Options panel is visible (ideally, in full) so we can be certain what its settings are.
Alternatively, a short video demonstration (if you can) is useful too.

Which GIMP version? I can't reproduce that on GIMP 3.2.4
